He actually got the mana, a mini-second after he blinked in. Hoofstomp was even midcasting when he got Fiend's Gripped. PS. Just watched it again, and yeah. If he had mana the moment he blinked, he could have got of the hoofstomp perfectly.

Speckhuggarn when he got mp enemy already scatter, see carefully. because of that 1 sec no mana, bane can grip him!
