Hi guys, just wanted to give an update as I was the one who had asked for help with a stripped screw a while back. I tried everything including left handed drill bits, nothing worked. I ultimately took advice from my brother and drilled through the screw with cobalt drill bits. This may be frowned upon but it was my last resort before just ripping the 3DS backing off. I changed the SD card slot and everything was fine after putting it back together. Just figured I share in case anyone was at a breaking point like me.

I might try this then. I have the same issue with one. and I need to reattach my ribbon cable because my 3ds keeps shutting off when bumped

@@LordVex47 if you do, get a 1/16 drill bit since you only want to drill through the head of the screw and not the plastic. Stop once the screw head and screw are separated. I didn’t try taking the screw out since I didn’t have small enough pliers and the head was still there so I just let it be. My 3DS didn’t feel loose, but the screw was in the top left where there are some next to it.

I’m still disappointed that Nintendo Switch Sports does not have baseball

I know this isn’t a unique take and you’ve probably heard it before but I miss cheat codes so much. Tony Hawk, GTA, etc. that used to be so fun and give games so much more replay ability. Life is difficult when you realize how insignificant you truly are but what’s important is being significant to loved ones around you.

Hey Bob. I laughed when you said you didn’t believe me when I said I ripped my own copies. I too am a strong advocate for ripping your own games as well. I actually used a hacked 3ds to rip the DS roms and put them on a micro sd card. It’s why I love your videos on how to legally rip copies of games. Thanks for mentioning my comment! Link's Awakening is an example of a game that Nintendo released first as an enhanced version for switch and then made the original (cr4ppy) version available in NSO on the Gameboy color.

I can actually answer the Shadow/Sonic thing. it actually goes back to Sonic 3 and Sonic adventure 1. There's Murals on Angel Island in sonic 3 & Knuckles (in the Knuckles fight just before Sky Sanctuary) that Depict Super Sonic fighting Eggman implying Sonic's kinda a chosen one. it's like a prophecy thing. In Sonic Adventure 1 there are Similar Murals that they show you in cutscenes depicting Super Sonic fighting Perfect Chaos, which you do at the end. It's important to note that Super Sonic's Spines look like Shadow's in these scenarios, they change them in later games. Gerald Robotnik (Eggman's Grandfather) worked to make the ultimate lifeform based on the creature depicted in the murals. Specifically the SA1 mural. The prototype for the "Ultimate life form" is a big lizard creature (the Biolizard Boss in SA2) because they had initially misinterpreted the Mural and assumed the ultimate life form was Perfect Chaos. it wasn't until later (probably after finding the Mural from SOnic 3 on Angel Island) that they realized that the "Ultimate Life form" was actually the "super Sonic" figure in the mural, and pivoted their efforts toward a creature who looks like that. At the end of the game you can really see it when the two hedgehogs both go super. this is all kinda synthesized from reports and special documents detailed in gerald robotnik's journal entries and other peripheral info found in spinoffs like Sonic Battle, Shadow The Hedgehog and Sonic Advance.

Regarding Elden Ring, it plays great on Steam Deck, and while you can't pause, you can just sleep the Steam Deck. I don't have kids, but life still happens while playing, and being able to sleep at a moment's notice is fantastic. IIRC the game did not pause while opening Steam menus, like it might when pressing the home button on a console.

This is a much better calab than with that Ebegger Wood Hawker.

I know the meme for these handhelds is that a new one is always coming out, but I literally bought the RG35XX+ 30 minutes before hearing you guys talk about the RG40XX H. I canceled my order, watched the RGC initial impressions video, then reordered the RG35XX+

I unironically really liked Mario + Rabbids (1 and 2). The first one I didn’t play until like 3 years after the Switch launched, at which time I 100%ed it - including the DLC. It has some very challenging levels towards the end and I enjoyed the strategy of it all. The second one I haven’t beaten yet (got distracted by other games) but will hopefully finish it up someday.

I remember Monster Hunt World didn't have a pause option either, which was especially annoying as there was limited timed hunt missions that could go for a while. Remember people finding ways to pause it on PS by putting it in standby mode or opening a youtube on your console.

My favorite SNES game was Wing Commander and I can't find it in any collection. It was the original No Man's Sky.

Will thinks $17 a month for Netflix is expensive when basic cable costs $89.99 a month before fees at most ISP providers and people still pay for it. Cheapest package at my provider is $39.99 and you get stuff you’d never watch.

So I just got a Switch Lite the other day. Loving it so far. The NSO with these old games, are the games installed locally or are they streamed over the internet? I would love to play GameCube on this thing.

For the cosplay thing, that one chick who left her kid alone while she was at a party (Digital Princess) used to go by “Pokemon something” until Nintendo or GameFreak stepped in and told her to change her name because she was making sexual content. So they wouldn’t stop ALL cosplayers but would definitely hit the ones that caught their attention.

Elden Ring and similar games have online features too like ghosts of other players, messages, invaders,, or whatever. So providing a pause feature is a little weird to handle. Not sure about that tutorial mode workaround.

In my opinion, a game not having a pause is no excuse at all. If I was working at a game company like Nintendo or Sony and a game comes in that doesn't have a method to pause, I will send that game right back to the devs, telling them "don't even bother bringing this back for review until you implement a pause button"

I think on Gamecube for NSO they will launch with Luigi's Mansion (just like the actual console and so all 3 LM games could be on the switch) and/or Super Mario Sunshine (because Mario). I also really like the idea of a Mrs. Freeze that is basically the opposite of what we have, Nora as Freeze and Viktor is dying. Plus, I used to work at NAPA and if anyone asked for help to put wipers on then we would help if we could and no employee would use slurs 👍😁

Hey Wulff bros! I have a question for Will. I dont think i have any intention of getting into comics, but im curious as to which super hero/super villain/antihero comic series you think is the most consistently good. By series i mean every comic that super hero/villain/antihero has put out. My guess would be the Batman series based on what you have said about it before.

Bob asked what Nintendo would do with the GameCube games already released on Switch if they made them available on NSO - they'll do what they did with Mario 64. That had already been available as part of the three game collection with Sunshine and Galaxy, but they now had to release it as part of the N64 app... so they just released a barebones version of it compared to what we already had.

This whole “situational disability” thing boggles my mind. In my opinion if a game has accessibility options then that is awesome! However, if it doesn’t that is not a valid reason to fault the game. Back in the day when I was playing Fortnite and my mom called me up for dinner I was like “piss now I gotta go eat dinner” it sucked but that was the way the cookie crumbled. I didn’t say damn this game sucks because it’s an online game and I can’t pause. Now people are complaining because a game that is MADE TO BE DIFFICULT is DIFFICULT. I don’t play Elden ring because I know my limits but god damn people take your own advice and “git gud”. If you want a real solution to this problem teach your kids how to clean up their own piss and boom problem solved, 12 hour Elden ring bender achieved

EDIT: I wrote this comment in reference to someone talking about how Bob pronounced Mario and Wario, before the Sonic x Shadow topic, so its hilarious that his lore came up later in the episode. Also Shadow the Hedgehog was an awesome game and I will die a bloody painful death on this hill.
