@Think Tank stop. Have you ever experienced having to leave your homeland? Perhaps as a young teen who had no choice? After being here several years with her family who had to escape their homeland. You don’t just go sign up to be a citizen. Sometimes it takes YEARS. You want a good, hardworking family torn apart? The father has his citizenship finally. The mother has had all kinds of problems getting hers. One of the children was born here. So, the mother of the family should be deported? Even though she’s been nothing but a hard working American. I doubt the family will stay without their mother. They will return to their homeland to be severely punished. Why would you want that? Let me tell you Hispanics don’t get evicted. That woman that cleans your house and all your friends houses? Yeah she ALSO babysits multiple babies in the neighborhood and cleans a motel in a dangerous area, of doing janitorial late at night. The father has a better job bc he has his citizenship and is paid fairly. The woman has worked hard to learn English and insists her children speak it and don’t default to Spanish. But a hard working GOOD American is being financially exploited bc she is having such a hard time with citizenship. So she works THREE jobs bc she will do anything to keep her children in the country they love. The father works 6 days a week. That’s who you’re encouraging people to call ICE on? Shame on you! As I said Mexicans will do what they have to do to pay the rent. Why don’t you beat your chest for a positive cause? You feel good about encouraging people to destroy people and families? That’s who you want reported to ICE bc 75% of hard working, quiet and decent people. So kick those trying to get citizenship out of their homes that they PAY for? Absolutely heartbreaking knowing there really are people like you that WISH and encourage harm on people you’ve never met out of sheer prejudice.

This is unfortunate. I was homeless with my 5 kids in 2017 after being raped by a manager on the job. I lost my mind, ability to work and provide for my family. The landlord wanted us out because they wanted to sell the condo and I fell behind on the rent. The system wanted me to jump through hoops and treated me like a criminal. Students loans took the $13000 I was due to get in taxes that could have payed for everything. Although I filed for a hardship due to a pending eviction they denied me. This country and it's well to do ppl are evil and yet out of all of that the ppl who helped were dyfs, a lawyer who never took my case but advised me, the mayor and governers office, and a few others who understood that this wasn't fair. We elect these ppl into office make them do their jobs. I along with myself, advocates and my mothercalled their offices nonstop. Dyfs supported me so much throughout the ordeal. Paying for the renewal of my nursing license, trauma therapy, kids school supplies, new beds, food ect. They went above and beyond for my kids and I. The lawyer who never took my case advised me all the way until I moved into another home without charging me. A homeless advocate made calls and knew the laws and other ppl & avenues that opened up many doors. It literally took 8 months of living in a two bed one room hotel with 5 kids and a village to help restore what was lost. God carried us through a time in my life where I didn't even have the will power to live let alone do anything else for myself. He supplied my needs and provided ppl who cared enough to go above and beyond. I was also shown how cold this world truly was but I was also shown there are amazing ppl as well. Ps: manager is serving 9 yrs behind bars 7yrs for good behavior. My kids and I are more than blessed although it took many yrs to get here. All the glory to God. I pray for everyone in dire situations that seem hopeless. God is always in control trust in him

Yes, the evil and the coldness of human beings is absolutely mind-boggling. Each time another person enters into this world, the barometer of evil rises, and the number of violations from one man to another since time began increases in count. Why don't people think about this before having kids? It is truly bizarre that people treat other people according to the Inverse Golden Rule: they do to others what they would never want somebody to do to them. The enormity of the evil of mankind on this earth is just unbelievable (Genesis 6:5), and the total absence of God in the midst of all this evil is very hard to accept and understand. What makes this so much worse is that the legal system on this earth is actually set up to be against the victim. If the victims fight back, they're now the ones who are acting illegally, and they are now the ones who are in trouble and are the bad guy. I do believe in ultimate justice, but it may be that we have nothing but to take justice into our own hands now in this life like Charles Bronson. I just sure hope that all of these evil bastards are going to get what's coming to them when they die. Never underestimate the evil of people. As soon as you forget that and let your guard down, you'll be reminded of how evil people are real quick. Why God would ever make all of this if He knew how bad it would become, or why He would put us in a world like this, or why He won't intervene no matter what, or why He would let the devil be in charge of this world, or why He would let this hell on earth go on for so long, are the greatest of all mysteries, and we will never have those answers.

Unfortunately I think this couple was behind on rent BEFORE the pandemic, and now they're being evicted. It's very expensive to evict, and most landlords don't want to do it if they know you will be able to bring in at least SOMETHING. As for her being rejected at every call, for her sake (and anyone else watching this) PLEASE don't tell the person on the other end of the phone that you've been evicted if it just happened within the last month. She said she'd only been homeless for 19 days. That's not long enough for the eviction to show up on her record. She could've gotten into that house BEFORE the eviction showed up. smh. This whole thing is a mess. I feel for anyone and everyone in this situation. Lastly, PLEASE DON'T WAIT for someone to come and evict you. Once you start getting behind, start looking for another place and MOVE ON. You can't get an eviction on your record if you leave on your own. Yes, I'm a landlord!

When it became obvious to the couple that the landlord was not going to grant them an extension/wavier due to the pandemic, it would have been better for the couple to voluntarily vacate the premises rather than be evicted. They would still have the unpaid rent listed as a bad debt on their credit/rental report, but they WOULD NOT have a Judgement for Eviction listed. They were crazy/narcissistic so they were constantly driving me crazy. I drove from FL to CA to live with my brother but he is also crazy/Moody so now I have been living in a Jeep Patriot for 7 months and I am so happy and content t b/c now I get to read my Bible all day at the beach or the park.

The same thing happened to a friend of mine. She got behind, she had been in and out of the hospital. The courts didn’t want to hear it. She has a disabled daughter and she was on disability. They didn’t care about the eviction pause. Thankfully she did finally find a place months later.

I live in the UK 🇬🇧. For many years I was at the mercy of landlords. I would move into property only to be told 6 months or a year later the landlord wanted their property back. My daughter at age 8 had moved eight times. We were evicted not because I hadn't paid the rent bills or destroyed property. The landlord wanted his property back and served me with an eviction notice. We had to move into hostel. One of the worst times of my life was being homeless and not having an address. We were up against a system. I found out I had little rights. The housing laws are very confusing. I really feel for this lady. I know how helpless she is feeling. I pray her situation and that of her husband improves soon.

I'm confused though, it's not something that goes in front of the judge UNLESS the landlord was seeking a hearing to request the tenants provide proof that they meet all eligibility requirements and/or truthfulness of the declaration they signed and if they couldn't prove such then the judge would rule in favor of landlord.

Note to anyone facing this when I was evicted through the courts it took three months to show up on my credit. As soon as I was evicted I started applying and I never mentioned the eviction I just prayed that it wouldn’t show up on my credit check and praise God it didn’t. I was prepared to explain if it did but I never had to. The key is to hit the ground running after an eviction and don’t say I was evicted unless it comes up on the credit check but it shouldn’t Immediately.

Just like applying for jobs. I once got fired and realized that unless subpoena by a court they do not release reason for termination. Just date of hire, termination date, pay rate and job title. Knowing this i stopped putting down on applications " involuntary separation" and put resigned for personal/family reasons. Sometimes you have to work the system to survive.
