Such a complete artist. I've been listening to him for decades. As a pianist myself, there's no way to not be quasi-obsessed with his pianism. Now, he's talking about art, politics, the world, history, languages, literature....HE'S SO FABULOUS!!

Thanks very much indeed for this. Loved Evgeny Kissin when he was the littlest boy in the 1970s, and love him even more now. His brain is as brilliant as ever it was, and I love the fact that as he ages he becomes a little bit more argumentative and never ever hesitates to express his opinions. His memoir, by the way, is a delight: *Memoirs and Reflections* by Evgeny Kissin.

I very much enjoyed this interview and hearing E. Kissin speak about himself, his music, other things. I particularly appreciated his comments re Van Cliburn, which gave another dimension to him , as well as his thoughts on the Ukraine, on playing certain pieces, and his love of poetry. Thanks so much for posting!

I performed Chopin sonata op. 58 as one of the great operas of music history for my final exam when I finished the music conservatory. Two days before my final exam ( concert) I was driving on the freeway listening to Evgeny Kiss playing exactly this piece. I had to stop and park my car because my view became dark and black outer of this world and I asked myself "Well....so much space and freedom. Could it have been played bei Arthur Rubinstein?"- Suddenly the guy in the radio said "You heard the nineteen year old Russian musician Yevgeni Kissin......

Reciting The Prisoner of Chillon (Lord Byron) by heart: which English pupil or student can do that? Kissin's intelligence, reflections, cultural awareness and political stance give his interpretations an added value that makes him unique among today's soloists.

I personally don't care if he babbled like a babboon or never spoke a word in his life. Kissin conveys the full weight of his emotions and intellect through his music with wonderful mastery of the piano. He has nothing to prove with words. Having said that I enjoy listening to him talk about music and performing immensely and I would love to see him give more interviews.

Kissin is a great pianist but a complete idiot out of music field. Without Russian culture and education, Kissin would have achieved nothing. Moreover, I could understand his political nonsense if he only didn't kiss Israel butt while criticizing Russia for things that Israel did 100 times worse. A perfect exemple of cognitive dissonance, keep playing piano and leave politics out of your life, you suck at.
