'' GAMBLER. '' - Dr.Ratio, spouting furiously, at the 15th message of the second mission, literally AT the start, BRUH. He was soo mad at aventurine, but then he apologized, which means he still cares at some degree.

He indeed cares for him, other than the doctor's advice you can also see it after the meeting with Sunday he told Aventurine to just tell him if he can't hold any longer. Ratio's value of knowledge, view of free education, hatred toward ignorance, and his attitude towards aventurine in this mission made me think that he is the kind of person who values life regardless of whoever they are.

@@Eurusdump I've just loved reading all the dialogue between these two, at the start it seemed like some real problematic friendship issues, but later down the line I was able to see how it was more of a silly ''banter'' between the two, Veritas has quite an interesting way to break the ice between other people, and I guess Aventurine was a perfect candidate to aid him along the journey, considering they were in missions before! If I recall, Aventurine recalls about invading one fortress in his missions with Dr.Ratio, If I recall it was around when they had to do the ''bird-statue-puzzle'', I forgot the exact line, it was a pretty quick quip from him. A-also, thank you for commenting, it's a huge honor~!

Yes when we see them together at 2.0 in that hotel room they came off like a toxic officemate and the way the English dub leans more to the 'harsh' side of Ratio through his voice and tone surely doesn't help the case imo. But in jp dub we can really tell through the tone of his voice that he's just that one easily annoyed friend of the group lol. Yes I also think they really complement each other whether it's in jobs or personality wise. I have read an interesting theory that they're probably a reference to the book titled "genius on the left, mad is on the right" (the way their ult stance mirroring each other). The book is about how two polar approaches to life (such as rationality/logic vs imagination/irrationality/illogical) can coexist and reach a mutual understanding. About the fortress, I've rewatched their convo and I think it's Aventurine solo mission where he made a deal with a landlord in lymanika system. He just yapping about it to Ratio lol. (I've recorded this convo too, you can see it in my channel if you like, the title 24 minutes something I forgor) I also have to thank you for watching the video and sharing your thoughts with me~!
