    Thanks that answered a few important questions directly I had a hard time finding, I'm doing solid mount 2" .250 wall dom tube on my cc dually. I was up in the air once I saw the recoil and thought the same but wasn't sure.

    I'm thinking on getting some for my 08 super duty ladder traction bars from rough country 0"-3". I have a 1.5" leveling coil springs and rough country shocks, steering dampener, track bar from rough country. For the money I think it'll work and match my whole rough country suspension.

    Don’t know if this is the right place to ask this question but, my 2015 Ford F-350 is leveled 2.5 inches I pull a 44 foot 20,000 pound toy hauler that’s with all out gear inside not dry weight and it’s a rounded up number. Truck does fine but would a set of BDS recoil traction bars help with some of the sway. I also have air bags on the rear, this is where the majority of the sway is coming from. At 70 psi which is perfectly level I get tons of sway from the rear due to the fact the air bag is taking on 99% of the load and the overloads aren’t being used. 65psi fixes this issue just so we are clear but does have a small amount of squat. If you’ve read this far I appreciate it, second part that’s somewhat related, I’ve seen the icon 2.5-3 inch coil over conversation kit that I absolutely love would the traction bars help with that kit, and also would that kit even allow me to continue towing like I do but with better ride quality, and 35inch tires. Running a fuel cleaver 20x10 with a 295R60 now I believe. Not by my truck. Again any help would be appreciated.

    So are you saying that a tube with urethane bushings on both ends are worthless? I'm asking because mine has an Heim joint on one end (frame) and urethane on the axel end? Thanks.

    I am in the process of a 1978 C20 2wd long wheelbase build, that is receiving a 400 LS stage 2 low lift truck cam, FItech injection, behind a sm465 4 speed manual, in place of the original 1978 350, with. With the HP and torque increase along with planning on a set of wide 20s on 35s with the HD spring coil and block lift, but still wanting to utilize the truck for work and play. The rear is a cooperate 14 bolt HD rear end with 4.10 gear ratio, and as a long wheel base on a truck quickly approaching 50 years old, what traction bars would you recommend to keep the rear end centered and planted

    As a new 6” lift guy it’s required to have traction bars , I’ve always had 4” and it wasn’t as big an issue, but over 4” is absolutely an issue with drivability .

    The traction bars mount on the bottom of the axle because the bottom of the axle is what is moving forward and up. The top of the axle is more of a pivot point rather than actual movement.

    Where do they mount on the frame? Is there pre drilled holes from factory or make own?

  • @jake_ruhl

    @jake_ruhl

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@bradthomas4168 You have to drill your own holes, and it depends on how long they are, some mount somewhere in the middle of the truck and some are really short and mount further back.

    @@bradthomas4168 depends on what style you like, whether the tubular or ladder bar style, length, weld on vs bolt on etc. Longhorn fab, rough country, mcgaughys, bds, procomp are ones I'm aware of for non 2500 applications although I'm sure there's more.

    "ladder bars" as you call them. thats incorrect, you mount one, in the center or close as possible and the front mounts to a shackle like a leaf spring, then theres no bind cuz it can move for and backwards but still go up and down fine but not rotate the axle at all
