Does anyone else need a campaign all about The Nine besides myself? That's one story arc that they've only scratched the surface of. Hell, I'd be happy with a Season of the Nine.

I still love that the only time the Witness goes full mask off and breaks from its calmness is when Calus points out how petty they are for just using their “infinite power” to effectively pour salt on a snail because they’re an ultimate hater

I’m new to Destiny. I think what’s scary is that I understand the logic the Witness has. In real life, humanity does strive to ‘usher ourselves into a Golden Age.’ The problem is, achieving a Golden Age as ‘perfect’ as the Precursors is commensurate to an eventual ‘Collapse’ and ‘existential/morality crisis.’ Caused by no limitations to technological, biological and worldly advancements, and no wars, famine, climate disasters etc; puts a civilisation into a state of complete pampered wealth, peace and eternal knowledge of pretty much everything makes you think *’What’s the point? We have all this wealth and advancement for what? We have no purpose… nothing to resolve or fight for… nothing to live for.’* Because they have achieved ALL meanings and requirements for a so called Golden age thanks to the Traveller, the Traveller inevitably makes them thirsty to create a campaign “to impose meaning” and end all suffering and malevolence by using ONE more act of suffering and malevolence to ‘winnow and calcify the universe into a final shape.’

Great recap before Final shape, hopefully it brings some great story and lore for us

Eyes up guardian world we know will be one to never forget not about story but friends we make on the journey no guardian left behind nor forgotten

I’m excited for this.. I wonder if they would give us alternate endings how the final shape would end.

@@goldengod31bro did not watch the KZreadrs who got early access. Combined with class exotics (only works well with prismatic) that new class is absurd. It gives you free ability spam like your in a campaign mission section for no cost.

The Precursors did not grasp that it was NOT the "Gardiner's" (Traveler) place to answer questions about "Purpose". Those questions can only be answered from within one's self, they were granted all the gifts and tools of learning to discover "Purpose" for themselves. The "Gardiner" (Traveler) had no part to play, it's 'job' was already done.

What IF the vex are in fact the construct of the precursor, like, their own AI that we're left behing when they merge and became the witness, they may be not have recognize the witness as their former master (except for the sol divisive or something like that), and the "goal" of the vex is in fact the original idea of the precursor?. Then this theory can be easily destroy by the fact that if it was the case, the Vex should already know everything about light and darkness... XD

I was but it's 3h and 20 mins after lunch and still can't play it

35 minutes ago, I've never been this early

So I think in the raid we will fail to end the witness. There is a 12 player activity where I think we will finish him off after the raid has been completed

Where do the Nine fit into all of this? I havent heard anything about them in eons.

I imagine they’re waiting to see whether or not The Final Shape happens. We know they can’t interact with physical reality directly so I’d imagine that they’d have as much stake in The Final Shape being stopped as us as it would end their existence

Its definitely fun, but not only do you have ALOT to catch up on, but it is now at a point where a lot of the good stiff is hidden behind pay walls. You have to purchase dungeon keys, and DLC that enables you to do several raids.

So far from the released osts there’s 3 potential raid boss themes been picked out. Potentially then that means there’s 3 bosses in it along with puzzles. Could be wrong it’s all just speculation

Watch the launch trailer it shows it, those people being made into statues are what it seeks. If everything is frozen there is no death no life no suffering. It seeks to prevent all suffering and this is how it wants to do it

The witness is just a random meaningless succession of words in the philosophy lexicon put together to try-hard make it seem like an in-depth vilain while its whole premise is just the usual “life is suffering, I am edgy big bad who wants to make the universe go kaboom” I am the first to enjoy digging into a character’s complexity when it’s intentional and planned from the beginning by the writers. The witness on the other hand is such an obvious instance of improvised, convoluted, cheap and superfluous meaningless gibberish that tries so hard to sound philosophical it seems like a 10 years old prompted chat gpt to write the thing. How can anyone not see the most generic vilain under this pile of Ali express grade philosophy is beyond me.

I still hate The Witness' character design. So cartoonish. It looks stupid
