I was googling about it and looking all over the internet, but didn't find much information- that's why I decided that I should make a video about it once I come in! I am very glad that this video might have helped you!! But you see, once you arrive on campus, you'll see how it is going to be so much fun!

Lubanah Alayoubi You must answer all the questions for NYU on the Common App, do their supplemental essay, “Why NYU?” And then you’re all clear to apply. You’re also advised to do the CSS Profile and or the FSAFA (if you’re an American citizen) for financial aid. If you’re going Regular Decision, you won’t hear back from them until next year, and your Candidate Weekend is next year too, but you absolutely must attend to be considered. The likelihood however, that you’ll attend is based on your performance at the Candidate Weekend. Not everyone who goes will be offered admission. That is why this video was so integral.

Hi Maggie! I've always loved watching your videos about NYUAD, the hard work you put into them really shows and they're so so informative! Actually, I applied ED1 this year but got deferred to ED2, do you have any tips on what I should do moving forward to increase my chances of getting in this time around?

May I ask, does NYUAD pay for the entire degree course? Is the total $80,000+ USD for the entire scholarship?

Hi! Did you apply for ED1 or ED2? I’m really confused when to apply huhu. I heard that you get better chances of acceptance with ED1 but the pool of applicants are extremely good students so its more competitive?

I applied for ED2!! I don't think the level of competitiveness is different among the decisions!!
Didn’t receive my candidate weekend invitation :( . all that hard work I’ve put into that application had gone for nothing 😞☹️💔

Don't be too upset! I am sure you will be able to go to a university that fits you best!! And remember, just because you didn't get into a university doesn't mean your efforts are gone- it will stay with you and become your asset at the end!!
Do you know how many people that went to candidate weekend got admitted? Was it 50%~ or more? Also, what criteria do they use to select the student from candidate weekend; do the essay before/after CW matter much in the selection? The students that got rejected- What got them rejected? Thanks!

Hmmm I think about 60% gets admitted- but its a rough number out of my head and I am not really sure. The criteria is not officially given, and because NYUAD takes a holistic stance for the admission, I think they just basically looks at every thing
A really great video. I got invited to candidate weekend 2019 so it is basically in 2 weeks and I am pretty excited and scared. I am kind of a reserved person so I think 2 days is way too less time to make myself stand out and connect with the faculty. What should I do?

It is great that you are coming to campus! You don't have to be out going and just try your best to show who you are! Also, the programs are made in a way that makes it very easy to speak or engage with the other candidates and students. I hope you have a wonderful time!
