    You’re already very busy, so this is just hypothetical. But in addition to your golf course videos, I’d love to see a series of vids where you fix other people’s lawns. I know you did it a few years ago before you were on the big property Anyway, love the vid as always

    We use profile diatenacious earth when we topdress our tee boxes fairways green complexes when aerating or not. Have you ever used an Air 2g2 on your green. Game changer air pressure injected into the ground at 12 inches relives suffocated roots compaction. Instantly approves water filtration etc

    Nice video , have you ever seen or got any recommendations on a Manuel type sand spreader or one that could connect to a ride on, none of my local hire shops have a motorised sand spreader and with an acre my back won’t survive cheers

    Yo mate! Came across your channel a few months or so ago while looking for lawn growth and maintenance tips. I'm looking at doing a fairly major DIY renovation on my lawn approx 85m². In tge process of killing off my old lawn, my current plan is to hire a rotary hoe to just turn it all over so it's all easier to rake out and re-fert the soil before levelling. Here in Canberra the nights do get quite chilly around mid April, I'm a bit concerned we are running out of time to get some tif tuf down (tossing up either seed or turf). Would love to hear any advice you may have. (I've looked back on your turf laying videos, I'm pretty confident I can do the brick lay but wanting to make sure I've got healthy soil first!)

  • @KiwiLawnie

    @KiwiLawnie

    You can't get tiftuf seed only turf. Laying turf is easy mate you will be fine, especially couch just chuck it down and it's happy! I mean mentally easy. Physically not so easy depending how much you have to lay haha.

    @KiwiLawnie thanks for the info mate! My main concern is preparing the underlay for the turf but with some extra reading online the tif tuf shouldn't weather too bad in the cooler months even when it's freshly laid. I'll have a peak at your channel for more lawn care tips! Cheers

    On the green, let’s say your scalping and want to lower your HOC so you can reset to your maintenance. If I want to mow at 6mm, how low should I go to “reset” my HOC? I’m after a number, a guide, as no one ever talks about the actual numbers. They just say “cut lower than usual and then mow back at your usual height”. Also, how are you going to get rid of all those stones? A rotary? I just put some sand top dress down and it has the same issue cause the landscaping supply place I go to had their screen break, so small stones got in the mix.

  • @KiwiLawnie

    @KiwiLawnie

    No real rule mate, if you want to mow at 6mm you could go to dirt depending on your grass type. For the stones I would run 2-3 good waters to settle the sand in then use a blower to blow the stones off.

    Could you throw some seed down before covering it with sand? Or it won't work?

  • @KiwiLawnie

    @KiwiLawnie

    Yep seeding first then topdressing is a very effective way to overseed assuming you water properly for germination

    Yo mate. Is there anything wrong with having a spongy lawn (I tend to enjoy the feeling myself)

  • @KiwiLawnie

    @KiwiLawnie

    Can create problems with water/nutrients/air getting down into the profile etc if it get's too bad. A little bit of sponge is ok.

    Kids play sand from bunnings? It's the cheapest from bunnings however still expensive $7 for 20kgs i think it's pretty close to what we are after do you agree? Or would the finer $10 bags of sand for paving better?
