I am working on regular crops and have read a few sources about crop prep and what bonuses are applied. such as harvest, mulch, plow/lime if needed, derock, seed, then roll for bonus. Also have had a few fields give random extra fertilizer states when i seeded in one direction but not another when using a roller before.

Something I have noticed with grass, even the wild grass shows fertilizations after the first mow. Have not tested to see if it is effected in other ways or not. You get so much grass from wild grass now, that I have not even bothered making a whole field of it. I guess if I wanted to do silage I would.

I recently started a new game where I focus on grass and animals, mostly cows so far, with a grass field in start from scratch hard mode. I was not going to bother with fertilizing at first, but I had so many fertilizer contracts with little else to do with my equipment, and even then I was able to fertilize my little field and do the contracts listed and pay for the spreader on after a few game hours. These rollers seem interesting, and something new to do, but fertilizer spreaders are so fast and the contracts are so lucrative it's hard to avoid them. I was thinking of buying a grass seeder when I get a new field, but I may need to pick one up after my next cut and try them out. I do always find it more fun to work in my fields than to do contracts though, so I try to limit them.

@@FarmerKlein I've been messing with this a lot. A worker on field 71 cost me more than the fertilizer to roll the field and it takes forever. It's ridiculous. There is also no way I would do it manually on field 71 because.... it takes forever. It's a "busy fool" kind of savings to me compared to moving on to another harvest. With the pellet fertilizer spreader, even using a worker, the costs amount to the price of selling one silage bale at a good price... and it does field 71 in 5 minutes. It's not even a contest to me.... but as you say... maybe people like to go zen rolling fields to save an extra silage bale. Lots of other manual stuff to do with grass not by choice.... though... baling... wrapping....picking up bales... transporting. Plenty of zen time. Adding more is madness to me.

You aren’t very good at explaining at all. Take some time with your videos. You say right after you mow it for multiple different times.
