My chicken comb was down small looked like it had little black on it she started to not eat the other were seeming to kick her out or shun her and then she went off 1 day and hid and I'm assuming she went off and tried to isolate herself because possibly she was dying well I felt bad didn't have a clue what to do I was searching for answer and I don't know if she was egg bound or what but I am curious to know about her comb if anyone has a answer I'd appreciate it so that I know what to do or how to go about a situation like this if it shall happen again I was heartbroken when I lost her and would be if I lost another one

Our chickens combs seem to dull in the winter. They are Isa Browns. They have a heat lamp in their coop, shavings and in really cold times hay. Is this normal or are they missing something.

I have a Rhode Island red chicken the back of his comb sometimes turns purple or black. It’s the summertime when he gets outside in the weather or the sun. It turns back to red, but sometimes if he’s locked in his coop, a few days more of it turns kind of purpleish blue not sure what that means. Can you help?

The info in this video is fantastic, however, it would have been much better if you showed the actual ailments with your B-roll, instead of perfect looking combs & waddles. We imagine those images maybe hard to come by… so we don’t fault you.

Can you tell the age of a chicken by the size of the comb?

Chicken comb is know to contain hyaluronic acid so necessarily for human body

Next time make sure the images you're using matches the words you use. I couldn't tell what I was looking at when you started talking about fowl pox. There was no indication on screen about which part of the combs were affected and it seemed many of the images were of combs that didn't have any issues at all, making what you were saying and what I was seeing absolutely confusing.
