Everything Wrong With Shazam! in 17 Minutes or Less

Фильм және анимация

Shazam is a pretty awesome movie. Certainly one of the best DCEU films yet. Great casting, good pacing, humor and action... what's not to like?
But it still has sins, like all movies. So... here they are.
Thursday: animated sins.
Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

    One of the biggest sins for me: Billy was a serious teenager, but in an adult body he's acting very childish all of a sudden. It didn't feel like the same person.

    Well think of it this way your a serious teen and then you turn into an adult with superpowers, are you really going to be serious?

  • @DeathIsLethal

    @DeathIsLethal

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@varo4236 That's true, but the thing is, this difference in attitude remains throughout the entire movie. They really do give off the vibe of being different characters completely. If kid-Billy got less serious or Shazam cooled down his hyper attitude after the initial excitement it would've worked a little better. Still more of a minor critique though.

    True, it also bothers me that Billy doesn't use his powers to try finding his real mom and instead fooling around, while he was constantly searching his mom before become Shazam.

    Honestly, it's not as surprising as it is concerning. I remember the transition from elementary to middle school was like going from Disney Land to prison. Everybody seemed to think they had an expectation of "adult hood" to live up to, which is why a hand-full of young women in my middle school actually did get pregnant just because of peer pressure. If anything, I'm surprised the movie had the guts to talk about that. *3 hand claps for DC*

    This is funny but if DC is going to continue making decent funny and good films they got to stop with the rewrites, any writer should write pages of drafts ideas for the script before making a final decision during pre- production, after coming with a completed script they should use it with confidence without making any last minute sudden changes during filming.

Second, are there seriously still people who don't get that it's all in good fun? Has has done sins for some of his favorite movies. He enjoys a lot of them. Hell, on TV sins he just did Archer, which he literally describes as possibly the best written TV show of all time...

Remember Rocky was released in 1976 - Assuming Billy was 15 in this film that it takes place in 2018, that means he was born in 2003.
