Probably because Puss felt responsible for how Humpty turned out by not putting their friendship first. Yes, Humpty abused that friendship, and had unreasonable expectations of it, but Puss still felt remorseful for committing that act of betrayal in turn.

So this is a prequel showing Puss as a hero who won't even rob a bank and his most violent act is shaving someone, but then in Shrek 2 he's a hired assassin?

Even in Looneytunes physics when the coyote fell off tall cliffs, which were only 1/1000th the height of what Puss jumps off of here, the coyote looked injured, in funny Looneytunes style way, but still injured. But Puss jumps off what looks to be 40,000 feet high, and with no parachute, but he's not shown to be hurt at all! Why!?

I wonder how Puss in Boots went from being a hero to a hired killer? He didn't seem so valiant when he accepted the king's payment to kill Shrek.

The Puss in Boots TV show has some amazingly choreographed fighting scenes, an interesting, mysterious plot, cute and fun support characters, badass villains and Puss is more flashed out and iconic than he has ever been. Honestly compared to the way Puss fights and acts in the show, movie Puss seems rather weak and generic to me

I always noticed something that many people didn't notice: Kitty Softpaws is a ripoff of Mittens from Bolt. Think about it, both Mittens and Kitty are black and white female cats that were declawed and abandoned by their owners and they had to fend for themselves without claws. Kitty even mentions a hamster at one point, and Bolt also had a hamster named Rhino. XD

If you told me that this would be prequel for one of best movies I would bot believe you

I literally watched this movie for the first time about half an hour ago (don't ask why or how I didn't by this point) and as soon as I saw that scene with the "P" and the triangle floating in it I instantly knew it's getting a sin

It’s so weird being a Cinema Sins fan and hating them at the same time

Honestly, they point out some good stuff I missed, and some of their jokes land, and other times it feels like they’re trying to hurt us as much as possible

Some people hate CinemaSins while others just hate who they are now. Ever since they stretched their videos, they would tell jokes like the occuring college girlfriend one and making pop culture references that have nothing to do with the movies being sinned. My point is they mix real critiques or actual problems with movies with jokes and call them all "sins". Not to mention, just like in this video, he would sin stuff he likes, and worse, even make excuses not to remove sins, like in the Robots and Rio 2 videos.

I had forgot all about this movie, I hated it as a kid because of that freaking egg. His face annoyed me 😂😭

Humpty's face does kinda fall into the uncanny valley. He doesn't look THAT atrocious tho, there's worse stuff out there like hedgehogs with human teeth or cgi cat furry demons. XD

The reason I got annoyed as a kid is because all of the cinema posters and banners showed Humpty with a devious smile or a face like 12:00. It was SO obvious he was the bad guy before we even went in to watch it.

I refuse to believe that the same hat and boots fit him as a child and as an adult

Fun fact, when this came out I was about six and a half. I remember renting it for a special movie night with my sister at home and it was the very first movie that ever made me cry. I didn’t really understand why my eyes watered when humpty sacrificed himself but I guess my little six year old heart was moved. Watched it again 10 YEARS LATER out of curiosity and my god it was so mid.

Let's applaud the accuracy of weight distribution when Humpty ends up upside down when activating his floatation device.

At 4:21, the Norwegian dub actually had a clever joke. In Norwegian we have a saying which (roughly translates to) “They’re not lightly boiled” It makes more sense in Norwegian which makes the reaction of the cat so much more funnier imo

movie: "exists" cinema sins: "So you have chosen, DEATH"

This movie has some beautiful scenes. Also Andy wore the shackles because he wanted to. When Puss says Humpty's name Andy pulls his hands out of the shackles.

You sinned the movie because she called Puss a Chupacabra when in the intro he said that one of his names among people is Chupacabra.

6:10 🤭 gotta admit, the bull one was clever af Gotdamit Cinemasins I said I was gonna watch something else an hour ago 🙄

15:03 milk is considered safe to drink one hour after milking, given that the cow is healthy

for the shackles thing: you see him take his hands out when he says “don’t say his name!” and he purposely put them back in when he was saying “i used to share a cell with that smelly thing”. the shackles were very loose

It could have been a decent movie if they made it its own thing with nothing to do with Dora. Just about an exploror girl or something. My friends and I spent a whole five minutes fixing the plot lol.

That furry lover line totally went over my head as a kid.

With how many comments there are about that, maybe he just brought up something like that because he knows what he's doing. He's basically inciting KZread comments to promote the algorithm for his videos by putting in an error he knows people will point out in droves before they can check to see if anybody else already has.

The Great Terror part kinda makes sense. If Humpty shared cell with pervy old man, he knew about its nature, and also knew Puss wouldn’t lead such a big threat to any town, so he made a story up that would make Puss actively avoid seeing the Terror, hence never suspecting of the connection.

This movie was dangerous for me as a kid bc I had a crush on both the protagonist and his love interest
