Probably the same price as a swap, and totally worth it over a new truck with modern emission systems, idk about you guys up there but we have to pass smog on most states and areas, doing this is still smog legal. The economy has spoken and bulletproof diesel is making a killing off of it. Spend 15 grand maybe on a 6.0, spend 10 bulletproofing it. 25 grand is much cheaper than 70, I like your videos but the ford haters always will get proven wrong.

These earlier 6.0s straight piped are the best sounding truck ever, they sound like a jet

I had a 03 f250. It was ok I put some money into it. Then traded it for a 2005 f350 king ranch. It’s bulletproofed and I love it so much. Three years and 40,000 miles later not one problem

My 6.0 has 200k and it has absolutely no problems.

307,000 on my '06 and pulls like a dream, drive it every day.

@@muddinbros4873 good one. I bought mine for $8500. 06 crew cab, 2wd, long bed, automatic, xl, already had egr delete, studded and ringed. I've done blue spring, coolant filter, aluminum CAC pipes, no tunes ever, I've pulled 24k pounds of logs with no issues and power to spare. Treat your 6 good and it'll do the same.

The only Diesels I got are a 98’ Freightliner FLD120 with a 12.7L I-6 Detroit 60 series and a 03’ Freightliner Century with a Cummins ISX15 I-6

should have deleted the whole EGR system, no cooler nothin

Half the people bashing on 6.0ls in these comments have never even owned or driven one.....

Junk that’s why you can buy one for 2-4k

In addition to the bullet proof gear, and egr delete, you should O-ring the head for better sealing. 2003-2005 had the early style coolers, waterpump the 2006-07 didn’t have as many problems.

Jon Nelson the EGR delete is essential on these trucks. I have never heard of an upgraded on like what they did but without the full delete, your turbo will gum up and break.

You guys are missing a very important step. change your lifters as they're very problematic due to weak needle bearings and install the updated slightly shorter length push rod with those new heads

Our 2006 F350 just broke down & we think its the head gasket. Thanks for the info. Unsure if we will bulletproof or get a newer truck.

So getting mine for 8k makes me feel better about the future since I know I’ll ha e to bulletproof sooner or later

My fathers bullet proofed 6.0 is a beast. Sounds so good!!

I have a friend with a stock 6.0 with 600,000 miles on it and he still drives it everyday

Get a monitor of some sort and a custom tune. I run a custom tune from Jody @ Dp tuners and I couldn’t love it more. Great daily drivability and also lots of power

I have a 2004. 6.0. Blew the Egr and head gasket at 70k miles. Bullet proofed it and tuned it and I am still driving it 100k later.

I got a egr delete after i ended up having problems with my 04. Well after that it has 321k and tows everyday so it has worked out for me

Great trucks. A few issues that need address and they are great powerplants. My truck is making over 500 hp then I can switch to my tow tune and tow 13k. Next goal is 600 hp and still able to tow.

Could’ve bought a Duramax and put nothing into it my work paid to have that bulletproofing done and it was 12 grand without the heads and without other parts with what you put into it you could’ve bought a new truck almost

How did this truck make it to production?

The truck would be fine with original heads. You’ll never push it hard enough to spider crack them. I would know. I ran mine so hot I baked the coolant lines and that’s what it took to cook the heads. About 900 degrees past what the temp should be. Trucks running 1200 horse on factory heads now and runs down the track fine. Hope you guys like the truck. People who hate on them just have nothing better to do

Everyone is knocking them for buying a 6.0. I don't follow this channel, but I gather they own super cars. I don't think money is a issue. I think it's cool they are keeping and old truck on the road and beefing it up!

What’s the price to get it completely bullet proof

I have a 6.0 service truck completely stock. It has 190,000 hard miles. It’s had a turbo ring and one injector if you don’t take care of the engine I.E. good regular maintenance yes you will have problems. Mine will run for another 190,000 with probably minimum issues. just take care of it.

Get the 05 to 07 better trucks for sure love the power a 6.0 makes pulls strong even for stock

Paralyze d You’re running rich. Check first air cleaner, turbo shaft for play, check turbo boots for leaks. You may have to rebuild turbo. It gets dirty fast.

What was the max boost at wot during his test drive?

leave it stock and it ll be fine. The most I recommend is egr delete and exhaust. But if you chip it and leave it stock they blow up. Mine has 210,000 miles stock and it pulls a trailer part time. Then again its a 06. What i have heard 05-07 are the best 6.0 to buys.

Maybe there should be a stage 4 and that would be delete everything. Your engine absolutely doesn't need to be choking on EGR!

I had a 6.0 all stock and it had 430 something miles and it was all fine we only sold it cuz we bought a new truck

Sure you can put in head studs without taking the cab off... if you prefer cutting a hole in the fire wall.

If you trying to do some off roading my suggestion is to buy new tires for its and if want to go more into this please make a carbon fiber cage for your safety Btw big fan 🥳

Weld that EGR cooler shut would have been better. The rest of the repairs are a great idea.

Love the Truck

Change your coolant often use only Ford cooling that's recommended and you won't have this plugging from sediment it's just poor maintenance

My 03 6.0 has all the same fixes. You will enjoy the ride. I am jealous of your King Ranch package. It's the best option and most coveted of the Super Duty line. Miles of easy towing and cruising ahead.

No need to bulletproof if if it doesn’t need it mine went 250,000 miles before I did mine and it was only because I blew a lifter and had to pull the cab.

Get you some 08 mirrors. I miss my 05 6.0.

Wow I can't believe they spent 11k on fixing this truck not including the suspension work they plan on doing. Thats what the level 3 tune costs as far as I know.

Yes! I just spent 17k for my King Ranch with 208k on the od. Just make sure that you look everything over before you buy one. There’s lots of videos on what to look for. Good luck!

The big question is how Much IT Will cost ? Also guy's Toyota Truck for exemple dont need any mods to make Them reliable, so why not just choose a better Truck or AT least one that doesnt need any repair/mods ?

Diesel trucks are so much better than really any Toyota, or any gas truck when it comes to towing. The fuel economy is better, and it just tows it better all together. But, considering how cheap they probably got this thing, it’ll probably still gonna be cheaper than buying a brand new truck.

dont listen to the negative comments, a bullet proofed 6.0 is one of the strongest diesels out there. One thing that i would have done differently is gotten rid of the egr cooler all together.
