1. Spin your new wheel hub assembly and compare that to how your old one feels. Sometimes they don’t “sound” bad, it becomes a feel thing. What you may have heard initially was brake shoe clatter. Hard to tell. 🤷🏻♂️ 2. Getting your CV axle out of the diff: You can get a pry bar between the back of the axle shaft and the diff, just pry, they will pop out. It won’t destroy the axle. There are tons on videos on how to do it. Don’t give up, even though it might be overwhelming at times. You’re doing great! 👍🏻
