The oil and eggs in the mayo help condition hair. Leave it in for like 30-60 minutes like a deep conditioner and wash it out (olive oil and a raw egg will do the same thing without the smell). My grandma used to put it in my hair every Friday night when I was little and I had the softest hair.

actually as gross as it is, Mayo is super good as a hair mask lmao. especially on curly hair, it makes your hair super soft , helps breakage and overall very healthy! eggs, bananas, and olive oil are good as hair masks too. and for the smell, people usually mix conditioner with it. or use conditioner after, or their leave in conditioners will mask the smell!
