Everything We LOVE and HATE About the NEW Kawasaki Mule

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Kawasaki gave the 2024 Mule line a 999cc engine borrowed from the mighty KRX. Is it enough to teach an old mule new tricks? Here are the five things we love and the five we hate about the updated work rig!

I have an '18 model. The only thing I have done is put spark plugs and spark plug wires and regular maintenence. I am currently sitting at 11,400 miles, and I know that it will always be ready for me when I need it. Absolutely bombproof design. It is a simple machine, and I'm a simple man. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of these. I may consider upgrading for the extra power and speed. One could argue they should upgrade certain things, but when it works, it works.

I own a 2016 and I've put over 7000 miles on it. It has hauled the grand kids, nieces and nephews, families visiting Montana, hay, trailers, lots of firewood, 6 big fellas and coolers. It has worked on the place, ran many, many trails with many friends, and hunted with a passion like the guy who owns it. It's hauled 2 bull elk, three men with all their gear and my dog off the mountain in one trip. I love it. That's why the new 1000 interests me. I only hope it can hang with it's little 820cc brother.

I have a 2015 that has over 15,000 miles, and it still runs great. I have replaced the starter and one clutch and tires and 90 percent of the miles are off-road Arizona desert and on my farm in Ohio.

You forgot to add #6 ...National recall and if you have one, you're told to not use it. Dealer told me may be weeks, may be months. Looks like I'll be looking at a used older one.

I agree about the speedometer and small on the interior. I guess in some ways their thinking you’re not as likely to use it or something. The seats really aren’t that bad for what they are. I remember some of the older rangers would get really hot. I know kawasaki has the new machine on the market with alot of premium upgrades. I would expect them to slowly change over to more of that kinda feel on some of them. Its definitely a work rig thats for sure but they can do most anything you want. They handle curves like its nothing. Our dealer test drove one and we were massively impressed. It would be nice to see rubber grip pads in some of those hard plastic trays as well. Its nothing you cant live with but polaris definitely has a bit of an advantage on them.

Too big of a unit. It’s accurate to say it’s solid, but be aware its physical size is a problem around trees etc. if you are looking at this to buzz around the property, take the garbage out etc, go with a golf cart. We love ours for tooling the back roads with the grandkids, but for yard work, it’s too big. Also, the heat that comes across your feet in the summer time is stifling.

it has lower payload and towing capacity, lower fuel capacity, less ground clearance, and the engine is not the Kawasaki v twin....it's made by Kymco. the bad has a latch one both sides, so you have to walk around to unlock it. it has a seat like a 1970s school bus. i love my Kawasaki KLR 650 bikes....but i'm leaning towards the can am defender.

The FXT's have been out best sellers, 2 rigs in 1, does everything, Goverened at 67MPH, flash the ECU and do mid 70's! Add our Hester Edition Elka shocks can gain 2" more ground clearance, 33% more wheel travel (over 13"!!!) and high end 2 stage valving that is just amazing! Can be built in 5 stages to pick from and built to spec and can carry SO much more than stock shocks, really changes the machine to a new world. We have TONS of mule builds on our channel, it's nice to see the true capabilities on these machines! Wish Kawasaki hired me to design for them and if they just came with our shocks SO many people would love them even more! Love the video! Great job! kzread.info/dash/bejne/c6ypuJuIdMWfkps.html

@@stevenwilkes9373So true. A Mule isn’t designed for launching over approachs. People can complain all they want but if you want a reliable machine that will get ya home time and time again you buy a Kawi. Also, if you don’t like the ride of a Mule, try a Teryx. If that’s not enough try a KRX. There’s options.
