One if the things I love most about the terreria development is that they don't really seem to push an update just to " get it put on time". As far as I can remember it's really just been that updates are done when they get done....something I really wish other games would do. The updates being amazing is a big bonus too lol.

Honestly, I feel like, even with all the joking about final updates, there isn’t really gonna be a true final update, at least not for a while. It seems like the devs are all still really passionate about the game (that, and we’re reaching a ‘Boy Who Cried Wolf’ situation with the claims of final updates.) Not that I don’t think Re-Logic isn’t going to move on to other projects, but I feel like the game is gonna keep going at least to some degree for a while

I love terraria and where it has gone is amazing for someone to put this much passion into the game instead of trying to sell another game is the greatest thing I've seen game devs do love those guys. Revisiting terraria after 2 years and I gotta say I'm more than impressed with the updates😃

I think the devs have tried to move on and make other games, but they never worked out as well as Terraria did. Remember Pixel Privateers? Remember Terraria Otherworld? Even within Terraria, some things didn't really work out. Remember that Terraria had an animated series?

0:50 Pretty sure the buff is a healing potion use. Get the non-expiring buff from a right-click, hit the heal button, and the buff goes away and you get healed.

The game has a little something for everyone, hardcore players can go and farm manually, people that just want a fun time and stress free gameplay can afk farm peacefully, it affects no one and everyone gets a little something.

Kinda forgot about some of these features, even big ones like the custom seeds! Really do appreciate these catchups keeping us all up to date

Imagine if there was a seed combo that made it so that a slower dungeon guardian follows you around the whole game

The first time I got 100% achivements was a few years back and decided to step back for a bit. Then more were added with the new update and it took me a while before I wanted to play again but eventually caved in and managed to get the 100% again a couple months back. As much as I love Terraria I can't help but feel a bit of dread having to grind again.

My favorite banner resprite is definitely the bird. I always thought the wings just looked like janky bunny ears, and the new one is sooo cute.

the things i care about: new summon: mushroom boy new furniture: potion flask, gives some type of buff new pet: "cenaxe", chops down trees new weapons: including a boomerang axe which insta chops multiple trees new mount/transformations: dinosaur, bat, maybe rat fishing: can see fish in the water whilst you're fishing item sorting: chest hoppers which automatically pull items and put them in chests already placed torches automatically changing to their biome respective torch stress ball: enables auto attack when not moving new achievments, sprites, decoration etc minion buff icon shows your minion count

Terraria updates are so much better than minecraft updates i hope they keep updating it

Would be cool to see some quality of life mods built in to the core game... like recipe browser, boss list, boss cursor, and maybe even magic storage and ore excavator.

Mate I thought that 1.4.5 released today and then I saw the intro, but at least I have a new Chippy video to watch

Remember how in Starbound you could craft and find musical instruments? Then you could play classical songs like say Toccata and Fugue in D. And every instrument sounded very unique. You could play Beethoven on an Electric guitar and it sounded cool. People could create thier own songs that could be added to the game by dumping it into a folder. I really want this for Terraria. BAD.

It seems like there's a very real chance that every boss in the game will have it's own music, all that's left is The Destroyer, the Frost Legion, and the Lunatic Cultist. And we can be reasonably certain that Destroyer gets its own theme given that the other mech bosses already have theirs.

personally I think its more likely brain of cthulhu gets its own theme since boss 3 was explicitely made for destroyer instead of brain of cthulhu

The stink potion use seems to be making anyone with stink be attacked by critters, with the bird droppings it looked like it applied to stink Debuff and the critters attacked

I want a sentient boulder that says boulder as it rolls towards you. It only had 1 hp but it can climb over 1high blocks and tracks you.

i just want all classes to have an end game weapon like the Zenith. you carry a copper sword from first spawn in to craft the thing. maybe other classes can get the same treatment? maybe you slay king slime and get a summoner staff part, or maybe you slay the EOC and you get a cool gun part that you have to carry and get more parts to till moon lord same as summoner. if all classes do not get an end game weapon like the Zenith. then melee class will still be the best class in the whole entire game just based on that end game weapon because it is so insanely OP.

they should add a painting that you can paint your self.

the (white whip) is probably a spider whip for when you get into hard mode like how there's spider armor there would probably be a silk/webbed whip

the seed combination with flooding rain made me think about acid rain (a real life phenominon). Imo would be an interesting idea for an ingame event or also seed. could destroy the leaves of living wood trees, damage the player at a constant rate (or maybe at a random tick chance with knockback xD). idk maybe someone else has a more elaborate idea on how this could be implemented, but thats smth I was thinking about

Im a bit late, but I WOULD like a counterpart Zenith. It would be composed of the Starlight, Flying Dragon, Terragrim, Phasesaber, Cristmas Tree Sword, Tin sword, Bladetongue, Breakerblade, Cutlass, and the Frostband. Just thought it would be cool.

The whip at 1:29 looks like it could be a "sticky whip", made with silk and maybe slows down enemies..? Not sure about effects, just looks like it's made of silk to me

hearing that summoner gets a new weapon always makes my day, summoner really needs a lot more love

Btw there have been a few more 1.4.5 spoilers since this video so I'll add a few more things: - Every boss that shares a track is getting a unique track - there's gonna be a separate menu for banners instead of them just clogging your inventory - smart cursor is better when placing platforms - there are roller skates that keep you on the edge of platforms without falling (also can roller skate on minecart tracks) - there's a rat transformation mount. - there's gonna be an Aurora Borealis added to the game - For the dead cells crossover there's gonna be the "Killing Deck" and a sentry that stays on the ceiling. Keep in mind that this still isn't everything, but it's pretty cool how much they're adding

My joy for terrraria came from how many items it had, i played it first when I was really young (maybe 7) and even old terraria felt so magical. I loved being able to build my own house, and despite thinking that the wall of flesh was the final boss and that light sabers were the best weapons at the time it was still so cool getting new random items every time I’d go underground. I even made the holy grenade, and i got exited when I got the Petri dish pet and woopie chushion. I hope they keep putting in new items, because to me, that’s the magic that keeps terraria alive
