Being 62 the interior design is definitely late 60's to mid 70's. Back in the day the Zenith console t.vs were considered high end and came with the first remote controls, which were seriously clunky and it was easier to just change the channel manually. Lady of the house was definitely a gifted artist and beautiful. Crying shame the house was allowed to rot as so many others. I'm a big fan of yours and other young folks explore channels and the appreciation ya'll for documenting the days gone by!!

@Barbara Hineman In the 1970's we owned a Zenith TV that had a remote control that emitted a high pitched ringing sound when you'd press the buttons to change the channel. We had to tape our dogs id tags together because the jingling sound of the tags would cause the channel to change. I remember the sound that the tv made when changing channels, it was very similar to the sound that a starter on a car makes when starting the engine.

@@francoamerican4632 I think that was the TV that my grandparents had. The remote was attached to their TV by a long cord. If I got the chance I would turn it on and just change channels because I loved that weird chugging starter noise as it cycled through the channels. Probably wore the thing out 🤣

Hi my name is Bonnie and I'm 78 years young and I live in Salt Lake City Utah USA while home is oh this home is absolutely beautiful you bring back memories to a house no longer has love in it but you bring everyone back and you make it love again which is so beautiful. My favorite thing about the house was the China that was left behind I love old China it's a shame that somebody won't come and collect it and cherish it the way they did it's a shame that it's just gonna sit there and rot what time . This house was nice but the artwork for phenomenal. This lady who lived there was very talented. It’s a shame that the artwork is just sitting there getting moldy and rotting away. Like you I am always amazed by all the clothing left behind. The family could have given it to charity instead of just leaving it there to get ruined. Thank you for bringing us along on this explore. Big Bankz, I don’t want to sound mean here. I have recommended to you several times to better educate yourself on antiques and architecture. Please do that, as you misrepresent what you are exploring. There is no way that house was built in the 1800’s. More like the 1970’s. It’s not laid out like a house from the 1800’s, and only a total gut could make it’s architecture look so modern. That Gucci bag was a paper shopping bag. Waterford is crystal, not a watch. A big house, but most certainly not a mansion. People who love to see abandoned places aren’t impressed so much by wealth or celebrity, but by the story of a life, no matter how modest.

I agree, Bonnie. It is quite obvious that young people aren't aware of many of the things with which we grew up in the 60's and 70's. There needs to be more research before entering houses such as this. Many times I have to stop watching because the person making the video doesn't know what they're talking about.

I just don't understand it, I said to her to you Love the Gov't of Canada so much that you want to leave them in charge of things?! Names like Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Halston, Gucci (as was mentioned), Dior, etc. It'd be interesting to see, especially in these well-to-do houses where such lavish entertaining took place, what forgotten treasures they potentially had left behind. Um, how do you know if the former owners were the last of their family lineage? If they were, then that's life. You live, you die, your house still stands. If there were no living relatives or no will, this can happen. It happens all the time. Maybe the little girl in the pictures was their only descendant and died at a young age.

So many houses that are left empty or abandoned with items left behind for whatever reason are trashed by people who go in. It's a statement on our society now, no respect for property or the history of the home.and family that lived there. That behavior, along with so many people who destroy places, disgust me.

I loved this house SO much! The bedrooms were SO big and I am all about seeing 'the stuff' left behind. Thanks for looking through the closet and showing the paintings...those were AMAZING! I loved the vintage furniture in the bedroom with the little flowers.....the yellows and greens were prominent........definitely got a 70's feel. Wonder if they had children and if so....wonder why they didn't want the items left behind. Its interesting to think of the what ifs and wonder whys. Thanks SO much! LOVEEEEEE these and love the scripture always!

Over the years I’ve been following these types of channels I realised that we spend way too much time and money acquiring stuff. We fill our lives and our homes with it, but for what reason? I’ve been a minimalist for a few years now and hope that whomever cleans up after me doesn’t have too harder time. When my parents passed away they left their children with an incredible pile of stuff no one wanted. So sad.

The house was 5.5K feet and absolutely filled with generations of things. The best I have seen, great job. FYI...if a place is abandon, then it is not thief's, if been over 30 days abandon, then it is free for whoever wants to take it. I would say that many things have been taken from there. But see many that still good, sad to let it set and rot. I would have to go in and clean the place up, sure the ones living there did not leave it in such a mess.

Back in those days that was a manion. I remember seeing elvis's Graceland the first time. I was surprised it was so small. These celebrities today have these ridiculous 15k Sq ft mansions. I think people were more real back then not just trying to impress people with a huge house that you could never possibly use.
