I have been bringing plastic bags on my trips for 25 years! Very useful

Beautiful fun outfits. I always bring masking tape 😄 You can fix a hem on your dress or pants, Cover up annoying electronic lights, tape curtains closed, wrap up food in a napkin and so on 😊

These packing videos are incredibly helpful. I really love your style and confidence. Thank you for all the great ideas and suggestions. I usually pack some usual first aids medicine like: something for stomach issues, headaches, fever, and digestive… because you never know.

Dana, I love your style! I just got home from a hiking trip on Amalfi coast and was committed to taking carry on only. Thanks to you, I felt like I had lots of options for the evenings. I am now totally obsessed with all things lemon. Also purchased a beautiful Italian linen oversized shirt and wore it on repeat for boating days as a coverup and casual days. Leaving on a cruise on Tuesday and this video is getting me all hyped for vacation. Gorgeous finds!

I get those cheap shower mats at the dollar store so I don’t slip in the shower. I’ve been known to throw a hand towel on the floor of the shower too. Since they’re only $1-$1.50 each, I’ve been known to bring one for each hotel and dispose of it when I leave. I also bring baby washcloths- one for each hotel and again dispose of them when I go on to the next hotel. Europe doesn’t supply many of the things we are used to. Heck even in America it’s getting harder to find some of our favorite necessities, like disposable shower caps. Ugh! Have fun Dana!

One thing I always bring on vacation (in the US) is hand soap (in a pump) and soap bars. I can’t stand those tiny hotel soaps that turn to mush rather quickly. We’re a family of 5 and usually take a week long trip. I probably wouldn’t bother on a weekend trip. I love all of the outfits you brought on your trip! Looking forward to the travel vlog!!

When I travel, I always pack a pair of slippers for the hotel, usually my well-loved lined moccasin style ones as they squash flat for easy packing. I don't like being barefoot on hotel floors but don't like to wear shoes indoors, and they just add a little comfort of home when I am away.

Do you wash or send your linen to the dry cleaners? What about shrinkage? How much ironing is required? I was asking before I invest into more pieces than I willing to iron. I love the feel and look but was curious about the maintenance.

That is a really great question. I do send all my linen dresses to the dry cleaners. My method is cold water air dry and depending on the weight of the piece. I will sometimes iron when damp and it is perfection no wrinkles and 95% dry! The key is is to iron when very slightly damp.

Yes steaming is great especially if you pieces are hung and the wrinkles have loosened slightly.

I just wanted to give you a heads up that this video didn’t show up in my feed. I’m subscribed and always see your videos on Sunday mornings. But today I saw your video recommended when I was watching another video. When I went to my feed to watch it, it isn’t there. I had to go directly to your channel to watch it. It’s not a huge deal, I got to see your video, it was great btw. But if other subscribers are having the same thing happen where it’s not showing up in the feed,then they may not know you put a video out. What’s your point? Maybe she wants to look a little nicer than Walmart while on vacation or maybe she feels more confident in these choices. I’m just happy she does full videos on Walmart, target, Amazon, old navy (top low end retailers for me)…. I am so happy to see what might be worth spending a little more on from jcrew or quince or whatever other lower- mid-level retailer.

Zero is an inaccurate statement. I packed a swimsuit from Walmart that is IN STOCK. Firstly, I can pack what I want for MY vacation also I CANNOT pack my whole closet lol. Lastly, I have grown a decent amount of friends here and I CANNOT always pack out of stock products either.
