I have the 14209. Ran it on 3s as soon as I got it and immediately hated the stock tires - no grip, it would just spin out. Threw the stock tires away, put on lc racing mt tires and added 15mm wheel extensions and now it handles fine.

Thank you for the honest review.. I really appreciate people like yourself who give a 100% accurate review.! I hate getting a new RC only to be disappointed in it.. I especially hate getting a new RC that all the big YT channels tell you is fantastic... Only to find the reality to be a little bit different.! First impressions go a long way with me too.. I got a Kyosho Mad Van VE last year & blew the front diff the first time I ran it on only the second 2S lipo, it was just from a 2 foot jump that landed nose first.. I wasn't even on power.!! I was so disappointed.. Especially when I looked for a replacement diff & saw they wanted £45 for the "uprated heavy duty" diff gear & input.. That should have been fitted to the brushless version as standard in my opinion.!! I drove it around as a rear wheel drive for a while until the rear diff blew a few weeks later.. Again on 2S.! At that point I was done with it, it's currently sitting in the corner stripped of all the electronics, tyres & shocks never to be whole again.. Because it doesn't deserve my attention.! Shame because it was a very fine handling truck... For one & a half packs.! 😂 By the looks of it I'd have been way better off saving almost £200 & getting one of these... You certainly put it through the bloody ringer.! 😂 😂 😂 Stay safe out there mate & best wishes from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🙏 ♥ 📻 🎮 🔋 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚔 🚕 🚖 🚗 🚘 🚙 🚚 🚛 🚜 🏎️ 🏍️ 🚤 🛥️ ✈️ 🛩️ 🚁.!

Wow, thank you Alan! Thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate it. Yes I tried my best to keep it real, like I say, as much as I wanted to like it, there were a few issues that didn't sit right. After the reputation of the 16 scale MJX's I had high hopes. I do still think it can be remedied, and thanks to the community here I have been able to find some spare parts and suggestions on how to improve it, so it seems this little truggy will live to fight another day, or video at least! Thats so interesting what you say about the Mad Van. I actually have it at the very top of my Do Want list! That is a bit disconcerting to hear your issues with it, and the diffs especially. I think on the smaller trucks that don't have center diffs or slipper clutches, the diffs ought to be well made indeed to endure the rigors of RC bashing as they are obviously intended. If I do get one it will be the upgraded one, and you can expect an honest review of that one also. I do hear they handle very well, but are a bit more fragile than you would like. I'm not sure one of these Truggies would have been better much though, as you would still need to upgrade it a bit, and it is a smaller truck that will not handle grass and the like as well. Any case, I will persist and see if I can get any more satisfaction out of it, which is something that seems to be on the shoulders of the owners a lot more than the manufactures in this game. Thanks for the thoughtful comment, I am so pleased you enjoyed the video! Stay well over there, more power to you and your trucks mate!! 👍🦾💣💥🏁🛻

The Mjx 14210 is Not for jumps with ramps ,why does everyone don’t get it , when you make it jump 99% will roll like a ball and wont land correctly , you just beat the shit out of it, I do believe it is a fantastic car just for soft off road driving and street running with some mods ,that’s it. I ordered this car and Its fantastic, one of the best cars for the money I have bought, with 3s its almost uncontrollable as the brakes can not follow, other than that you cant go wrong with this car. Well, I find it actually jumped really well, the running gear and super tough body is well suited for it, even better than some of my other small trucks. Everyone is going to have a different idea about what to use it for, and that's fine. For this review, I wanted to test its limits and there are few ways as thorough for durability testing (or as fun) than sending it into the stratosphere. I'm so glad you enjoyed the review!!

the wobble in the steering is because it has no connector brace in between the left and right turning arms, i bought this almost exclusively to see if i could modify it or make a part to fix the steering drift. i have some scy1602 cheap brushless truggys from temu that are super stable at any speed and handle amazingly , if you don't have one i highly recommend one, they are super cheap, it is a 2s car and 1/16 scale, if you want 3s you'll have to get new radio, receiver and esc though.

@@user-tg5ne6xm2n I think the 2996 is a lot better balanced with a lower center of gravity. It grips or slides where the 14210 just flips over. At this stage sadly I still have not been able to complete my research on this truck due to unforeseen circumstances, so my opinion is not yet complete.. I have seen many people get them to run quite satisfactorily though so I think if you buy one of these you will be pleased, it is generally solid, has good electronics, the only real issue is the handling and the screws are a bit weak. Otherwise its a strong chassis, but I still haven't had the time to get it to stop tipping over.(this may have been fixed in the V2 that came out) The other truck I would think would be a good option is the Team Associated Reflex 14MT Monster Truck. I would imagine so, however I use a SkyRC charger so I don't actually know. I've used USB chargers like the one included on other buggies in the past with no issue. The golden rule with charging is to keep it under observation. Charge it while you are in the same room. Dont leave it unattended, keep tabs on its temperature. And dont let it charge longer than necessary. Also, dont leave a battery on full charge for more than 24 hours if you can help it. This will help maintain the battery life expectancy.

That is some rough driving right there. Is the radio a bit laggy or something? I noticed on literally every jump, that the throttle stayed pegged which caused the car to continue rotating and landing on that poor wing, over and over. I think I shed a few tears watching the car repeatedly a$$ landing. If it's not a laggy radio, you gotta just let off the gas a bit as you float through the air. Car will land more elegantly and not get destroyed! 👍

I think I have to put my hand up here and confess, I am still very much am amateur RC driver, I have only been in the hobby a few months, and certainly a lot of those landings were my own fault. Plus I was still getting used to the truck. That smaller jump that led to a lot of those tail spikes has carpet on it, which makes it very grippy, the truck was able to get in some of the smallest back flips I've done so far. It does rotate backwards quite well, almost too well. Thanks for the tips, I will check the lag but I think it's just driver error in this case. Side note: this comment made me laugh!! lol

This truck is terrible ime. It's uncontrollable on any surface. I even tried LC Racing truggy wheels on it and it didn't improve handling at all. It's impossible to trim it and get it to drive straight as well. Imo it's a complete waste of money. I've been very disappointed with it...

Yeh I hear you. I have heard from one of our viewers who says he has dramatically improved it by levelling out the truck at the rear by installing slightly shorter shocks, but I have yet to confirm this myself. I will post an update if I do, meantime maybe check if yours is riding flat or high at the rear.
