You should probably put splash guards on the rear it’ll keep the tire shine fling off your paint and also it’s good to let tire dressing sit for some time so it clings and doesn’t fling so much

@@leoxia3458 yea it may be a "thing of the past" as far as new cars at some point but we still have the current cars and the ones from the past that are manual. Its way more fun to me and you can go pretty quick with one too if you can actually drive and know how to set one up correctly like suspension and tires etc. Will it be equally as fast as an equally modded 10r80? No but it also wont be that far behind if you gear the manual better on 18 up the trans gears are much longer with a 1:1 4th as opposed to 5th so to be comparable to 373 in the 11-17 mt82 you would need like a 456 gear to be comparable and most wont go that low because theyre stuck in the old way of thinking and they think 456 is nuts and way too low...maybe on 11-17 cars but on these as long as youre still na 456 gears would be the shit and it would really help narrow the wide gap the 10r80 has on the stick from the factory. Its not the fact that its auto that makes it faster really that has a small amount to do with it by comparison assuming the manual is driven well. The main reason its so much quicker is the gearing advantage from having 10 gears its a huge advantage in particular on a high revving v8 like the gen 3 coyote...thats why people didnt see the same performance difference from the manual trans on the new camaro because it isnt a 7500 rpm screamer with all its power up top...the low gearing doesnt help it as much as it does the coyote. The 10r80 gives it perfect gearing for the engine whereas the 18 up manual has terrible gearing for acceleration even when it has 373...the old 331 cars had better gearing than the new 373 cars to give you an idea. And while manual may soon be a thing of the past ill always drive manual cars as long as im physically able to because its fun and im above average when it comes to rowing quickly through a gearbox so i wanna continue to hone my skills and be different than all the "auto is better than manual because its a little faster stock for stock and we can be lazy and dont have to shift" millennial crowd. When they see you blazing down the quarter mile in a manual everyone sits up and takes notice...any tom dick and harry can go fast in a 10r80 its basically idiot proof.

@@leoxia3458 yea if its dedicated for track and all you care about is the fastest possible et. With that said you can have alot more fun with the manual and if you can drive yiu can still go pretty fast. I mean who cares if it runs 10.9 or 10.5...or 11.4 to 11.0...point is if youre not racing professionally for money the extra little bit of et you can get with an auto does it really matter? I like being different i wanna run decent quick despite having a manual...everyone gravitates towards manuals that run fast at the track because everyone just goes auto...the easy route. So a quick manual is super fun to drive and it gives you some bragging rights if you manage a quick time auto is easy. I just prefer a manual for the sheer fun and the simplicity. The modern autos are even more complicated fully controlled by the ecu...fine when its working but when you start having issues God forbid it costs more to fix and you gotta rely on the ecu to shift at the correct rpm and downshift to the gear you want or upshift...yes you can manually shift it with paddles but everyone knows its quicker et wise to just let the car do the work. With a manual i decide what gear its in and when its in it...i have much more control over what is going on and i take pride in driving decent...im no pro but im def above average ecspecially in this day and age when half the population prob dont even know how to drive a manual let alone drive one well. Oh and also the exhaust sounds better with a manual trans...something about rowing through the gears hearing that thing roar is just awesome. Also around where i live in va there are tons of twisty backroads that are fun to attack with a manual trans sports car...you can use an auto in the twisties too but its way more fun with a manual. Im just die hard manual and a real car and driving enthusiast. If i ever have a car that track dedicated and a drag build id prob go with a 6r80 or 10r80....till then ill stick with my manual
