Super excited! I’m Laotian-American, and I can’t wait to have my mom’s homemade sausages again. The spices in it are out of this world. 😋

Nice! Planning a solo trip to Laos this fall, and looking forward to the Luang Prabang night market and also getting up very early in the morning to visit LP’s main wet, and the hill-tribe market. So for a solo traveler, US $10 should be enough for a night market dinner plus lao-lao sticky rice moonshine. Also looking forward to doing the same morning market/night market meals in Phongsali, which will hopefully also have Hmong, Akha and other hill-tribe cuisine to sample, though I hear the food is less spicy and more Chinese influenced in the north.

I mean I don’t mind supporting local businesses… it’s cheap compared to the states 😂

It's not like mega corporations are the ones scamming tourists out of their money. These are all locals who provide authentic and amazing food at a very reasonable price for tourists. If you're paying to go to a foreign country, you should want to support the locals there.

Everything too expensive! Tourist prices! In thailand, the sausage would be 20baht...$0.60?

I was in Thailand right before and I felt like Thailand was more expensive than Laos 🤣 the sausages were 100 baht for 5 yeah but they’re much smaller!

@@celine.linarte Even Laotians working in Thailand still say the same voice that the cost of living in Thailand is much cheaper than Laos. So what you are saying is interesting to me. 🤔
