Been there before and can confirm, the deserts and drinks are pretty good but you’re definitely paying for presentation than quality food. Good place to visit once and take some cute pics but otherwise not the best

I think most collab cafés are sadly not interested in bringing out good quality foods 😭 I've seen their drink quality fly high tho but I do hope one day collar cafés bring up their resturant quality game so the food actually is worth it!

@@XxxX-cv7mhI’ve noticed that if blue things are in the form of fruit or drinks, they usually feel more appetizing than if they’re in other foods. I wonder if there’s some psychology to that too. If meat is blue, it’s probably mold. If fruit is blue, it might be a tasty treat.

@@CloudsAndDays because cool colors like green and blue are often associated with either nature or being sick/something wrong (thus assuming mold is on the meat). if a fruit has bluish, greenish colors, its just 'normal'. you'll like blue lemonade or blueberry smoothie as a drink because they have a flavor profile of a fruit. but you'll probably wont find blue hot chocolate or blue milk as appetizing. the same way you wont find blue ramen, blue curry or blue pizza appetizing. theyre all foods that consist of a warm palette and has no fruity flavor profile and it being blue would make you think its bizarre/not normal.

As I'm an avid fan of watching Emirichus review videos on different anime cafes I've learned well enough that you shouldn't expect really good food from these places it's mostly just for the collaboration or whatever series or brand they're trying to represent it's mostly for pictures not for eating. 😅😂

It’s one of those restaurant/cafes where you go more for the experience and photo opportunities than the actual food itself. Worth the visit if you’re the type that really loves a dining experience with good presentation. Get some cute pics from it and the food isn’t really good but it’s not necessarily bad either. Definitely paying more for presentation than quality though

I love her honesty! A lot of creators just say the good things about the food, she was honest to a T on the taste and texture. Props to her

Not really. At least not Emirichu. She avoids talking TOO negatively about cafes in Japan but she explained that she didn't want to risk getting sued. (And she kinda loves going to anime cafes so she's probably more likely to dismiss things. She definitely said that ALL anime cafes she's been to are pricey but she says that as long as the themed stuff is good then at least it's not a complete waste of money) I don't watch creators rate anime Japan videos tho. You're probably right now that I think about it 😂

if anyone is wondering this cinnamoroll cafe is located in osaka near shinzaibashi street

My cousin loved Cinnamaroll the best. She died suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 54 years old. I miss her so much it hurts. I would definitely go to this restaurant. Likely on my own to sit and imagine her reaction and quietly contemplate the last 6 years without her.

Honestly I would just go to the sanrio store next door. Most of these character/franchised themed cafes seem to have food that is meant to look nice on social media.

That’s a lot of things in Japan it seems like, like the sanrio park they have is two rides and photo spots.. and Japanese “conventions” are mostly just huge rooms filled with cosplayers taking pictures. There’s no panels or guests or anything like conventions in other countries. It’s pretty odd how much in Japan is just for photo ops

One thing I learned from visiting various themed cafes is to go for the desserts and the limited merch, the food is usually just for aesthetics.

Cafes like these don’t exactly serve the best food, but if you get lucky the experience is amazing.

Pro tip: hamburg steak is usually not all beef. Usually is a mix of pork and beef. Maybe even always. But that’s why the texture is as it is.

The thought of blue dyed curry makes my insides hurt.

I went to a Pompompurin cafe on a trip to China it was delicious I had a chocolate and mango milkshake and some noodles it was very good and if I had to rate the cafe overall it would be 4.5 stars!

Most of them lie & claim it’s sooo delicious too especially bc they’re paid to love it or get it for free. I’ve found the best food comes from the places you don’t see every food blogger/vlogger/influencer rave about. These trendy places usually offer trash food quality

i feel like restaurants like these mainly focus on decoration rather than flavor 😭

For themed cafes' in Japan you're definitely paying for the theme, their exclusive merchandise, and the food's presentation. Their food isn't good 90% of the time, however, their 10% can be good depending on the cafe's location. For those who are planning to go to a themed cafe, then I recommend ordering their drinks and desserts instead of their food.

I wish I would go there cuz cinnamorrol is my fav sanrio character! And it’s really cuteee

I think it would be cool if the meals/cakes/drinks came with some kind of trinket or, maybe you got to pick from a selection of small cute items depending on what you ordered. Some kind of cherry on top to make up for food quality not being the priority. I wouldn't mind going somewhere pricey for cuteness only if I was sure to get a tangible souvenir exclusive to the location.

Depending on the order you can get themed coasters with drinks, you can also pay a little extra to take home a replica of the plate or cup your food came on

I went here, and it was so fun! Definitely would recommend coming here.
