Personally I like how they animate camera movement even though it's an anime and there's no camera they are still using cinematic camera techniques which is highly underrated and you don't see that often in anime

no she isn’t. that’s not how you spin a butterfly knife. she’s just spinning her sword around like a baton. a butterfly knife has 2 handles and close around the blade and you flip it with those

Even when zenitsu appeared at first and started crying I was annoyed by that...but when that thunder clap and flash happened.... My God I started seeing more potential in him and ignored the crying... I just hope he doesn't remain this powerful and there doesn't remain a lot of powrr gap between him and tanjiro... I at least hope they don't mess him up like they did gohan in dbs

Lowkey was like "How the actual f*** did the lead spider demon _not_ die" when Tanjiuro beheaded him... And then I went back and watched the scene a couple more times. That was when i noticed the thread that the demon used to cut his own head off. It was placed so subtly to make it look like part of Tanjiuro's attack when in reality it wasn't. It's honestly really hard to see between the effects of the slash itself but its definitely there-- Hell I *_still_* have a hard time finding the thread, and for that I applaud the brilliance of the animators at Ufotable, they did a really nice job with the animation budget being that of an average show. They have definitely earned the level of respect that Studio Bones has from me.

What I never liked about it. Its contact with the blade that burns/kills them. Shouldn’t it just rubbing against it as it goes through his pre cut neck still kill him? I get it was to show that the pillars are strong. But just never felt right.

Melana Chevannes inosuke was great there but that fight was all about shinobu for me she knew she couldnt beat moon 2 but she couldnt let him live for killing her sister either so she put everything in the hands of kanao by sacrificing herself just to avenge her sister kanao is another great character in demon slayer

15:44 I have to point out that earlier in this anime we see Zenitsu being told about how your life flashing before your eyes is your brain looking through your memories to find something that might have happened in your life that could save your life which is thought to be triggered when you think you are about to die or in a near death experience which adds more impact into this scene and the one after as Tanjiro actually was able to find something in his memories that was able to save his life

26:50 I'm surprised to see that he didn't talk about that little funny moment where Nezuko was angry at the other guy after refusing to get a taste of his blood and she was puffing out in anger in her box which I found hilariously cute.

0:32 Technically, it's the third time because during his fight with the big demon with multiple arms, he dodged the arm coming at him in midair by headbutting it!! Still hilariously awesome though!! Edit: I have been shouted out!!!

I was so happy when you decided to cover Kimetsu no Yaiba! It feels so good that there are more people in this world that appreciate this anime for its greatness and your GREAT comedy with which you put together these episodes makes it even better. This anime, especially ep19, has a 100% guarantee to make me cry and your portrayal and spotlight of just the right scenes made me tear up aswell! PLEASE keep on doing MASTERPIECES like this one! Also, how could you not give the ending and transition to the end theme in ep19 a solid 5 sins. I just f**king straight up cried for 2 minutes!

Sorry for barging in, but I have to agree with you. The anime was hilarious: the animation, the story, the humor, the fight scenes, the character development, everything is either a take-away at least, and perfect at most. And I, along with you two and everyone who watched the show up to that masterpiece of an episode, really did either cry or had their heart get shot with emotion at that moment. Just stunning. And even people who watched only that fight scene can appreciate the beauty of the animation. And on the sins one, for episode 20, one thing I noticed is that in the last two episodes (18 and 19,) Rui mentioned that his skin was tougher than his strings. But then episode 20 (Chapter 42) shows that he still cut his own head off with the threads before Tanjirou did? That was unexpected sure, Win 267 remains. But that's still a sin since the mangaka didn't consider that contradiction to Rui's claim in her manga. I have a few more picky "sins" on the sins version of part II in Milan Savic's comment conversation, but they're just nitpicky and you don't really have to address them. I know I wouldn't: the episode was amazing. If the show was a blessing (which it is), then episode 19 was a Godsend. I can't wait for (the tears going down my cheeks during) the movie, and for the next season. Especially when we get into the Red Light District arc after the Demon Train Arc movie. Darling angel (Nezuko) is about to get a BIG plot-armour development!

I love how Tanjiro's first thoughts after facing Shinobu are that he should leave the Corps instead of some cliché "I have to go to the top and make everyone respect demons"

Missed Episode 19 Win Nezuko save is also nice, as you can clearly see her expression changing from determination to being in shock and scared of what has actually happened to her. I mean, look at her face and hands at 14:16

One thing a believe deserves another counter is the words Shinobu talked about the theory of why you see what you do before you die, to Tanjiro remembering his farther.

My favourite part was how the similar movement styles of constant flux and hinokami kagura were so similar that they were able to transition perfectly into eachother and watching the dragon go from flowing water to raging fire

The importance of the dead parents is a common anime trope but out of all the anime ive watched ufotable delivered the most impact

Almost every demon we’ve seen in the Anime had such dramatic back story, makes feel bad for them and question: “Do they really deserve this?”

Yeah, episode 19's battle scene gave me the same reaction you had. Like, how can you NOT love that?! It was so freaking beautiful!!!!

Late comment because I only just watched this anime and avoided spoilers...Blessed rain after the drought. Few scenes more than that one sum up how much Tanjiro is just the absolute BEST BOI. Recognizing that she was just another tormented victim, and giving her a peaceful, comforting death. Showing her the only kindness he could as he brought her peace...That was absolutely fucking beautiful man.

Every time I watch Demon Slayer, even if it's clips or reviews, it feels like I'm watching it again for the first time. It's animation is jaw dropping good, beautiful and moving music, memorable characters and the plot! I love this anime so much!

It’s a matter of moments before Inosuke calls him Jotaro

The scene of Tanjiro's father's flame dance always gives my Avatar the Last Airbender vibes and I absolutely love it. The best way to describe the feeling it gives me is pure and utter nostalgia.

So maybe you know, but if you don't. When Tanjirou fights Rui at the end of episode 19, the song isn't just any song, it's Tanjirou No Uta, and I recommend that everyone who loves this anime checks the lyrics out because it's very very representative of Tanjirou's character

I think he used the red threads to cut off his own head and the red threads are more powerful than the normal white threads

Maz but tanjiro was effortlessly cutting red threads but still couldnt cut his head off until nezukos blood magic explosion boosted his sword

It is really sad that their souls go in hell even if they had good inside them, I will prefer a part of their soul could go in paradise

Somebody pointed out that they're probably not talking about Christian hell, but one of the asian religions whose version involves a non-permanent stay to cleanse their sins.

Another thing I love about the Mother Spider's death scene and the use of "Blessed Rain After the Drought" (Win 212) is that at first he was gonna use a different attack, but then he saw that she wasn't fighting him. He could have decapitated her with the other attack too, but he purposely used this gorgeous and probably gentler attack. It is indeed beautiful and it reminded me of why I love this show and Tanjiro as a main character.

the death scene of the demon spider mom is one of the best scenes of this season and I'm so glad that you mentioned it

I love how nearly every time a main character has a flash back and power's up everyone goes "ahh here we go again" but this is one of only a few where NO ONE CARES it's just that good of show
