Denji just like Power do not have a chance for education like other people, so they are like little kids one dude lived alone in slums with pet and her lived in forrest with also a pet we do not even know did denji know what the school is people call denji idiot with low IQ but he sometimes show how smart he is. maybe its no IQ but knowledge is what he do not have when he meet makima he had lose too much of blood to use his brain, he even need time to realise that she said his name he outplayed Aki for xxx magazines, trap for teacher was quite good and katana-man for hidden chainsaw in leg

I don’t know if I’m the only one who didn’t notice until going back and thinking about it but “easy revenge” is a callback to Aki putting the gum on the women’s back

As soon as this anime ended, I knew this video would be coming out and would be amazing, very glad you enjoyed this one and hope you stick around for season 2 whenever it comes out

I think in episode 8 you could have given an extra win for Aki just pulling out the katana without hesitation. Shows how serious things got so fast...

Thanks so much for making 2022 a great year for me in spite of the many, many difficulties faced by the channel. You've been by my side throughout it all and a great many of you made it your personal mission to help me and I can never thank you enough for that. Anyway onto the video, Chainsaw Man was an absolutely banging anime, I loved it an unreasonable amount to be frank. Hopefully you show this video some love and appreciation since, as I mentioned at the end, it contains over 1000 parts that I pieced together by hand and is by far my largest video to date. I wish you all a brilliant 2023 and hopefully we can continue to love and appreciate anime throughout an ideally amazing new year! Edit: Forgot to mention I brought it out today, the 29th of December on a Thursday as I wanted to drop it outside of new years eve when again most people are busy. After this I will be releasing back on Saturdays as per usual.

Though Devils can be sadistic, so the fact it "rules" could be another way to look at it, keeping in mind the sadism of devils.

Denji's line about 'banning that op move' is like 5 wins in my mind, if you're observant you should have noticed the Katana devil has used that three times now and each time it OHKO'ed the target. Wayyy too strong for the current meta, absolutely nerf that shit.

Something that floored me, more than it's action or BOP of an opening, was the number of quiet, atmospheric scenes. For a show with a name like Chainsaw Man, you expect a seinen slugfest with a pretty even spread of action, tragedy and a dash of comedy. But there are scenes like Himeno's drunken walk through the apartment, or the scene in the hospital that cut the music and give you a few minutes of contemplative ambience. Aside from giving audiences a break from the massacres that the fight scenes can be, it really does help sell the setting and let's the watchers immerse themselves. A real ballsy move by the artists, and one I think pays off in spades.

Ikr? Tbh I held off on reading the manga for so damn long despite a ton of recommendations from reviewers and friends alike just because the name Chainsaw Man sounded so fucking stupid to me. Then you get stuff in it like Aki & Himeno, the Denji's goals throughout the season actually being dead serious, hilarious, and emotionally impactful at the same time, just all of it was so damn good. Really wish the manga would update faster.....

Having each episode with a different ending by such talented people shows their great dedication!

1:07:15 If I remember right, we actually get told by Himeno (eyepatch) back during the infinity devil arc, that Kobeni (shy girl) is really pretty adept at combat, she just lacks the confidence.

The manga made me feel things dude. I always thought it was odd that I never found books or other forms of written media to be as jarring as their animated or live action counterparts, but fuck me, the manga is literary gold. I think i got dehydrated with how many tears there were.

Mappa have truly set a new benchmark with artstyle and animation with this CSM. Insane attention to detail and cinematography are next level and they did not let it slip episode after episode. Thank you mappa, and thank you fujimoto

I can't express my gratitude towards them in mere words. Also I don't care how many people are gonna hate the CGI, I still didn't mind it AND prefer it over Chinese censorship

One thing I greatly appreciate about MAPPA is they tend to pick newbies for lead roles and also like to work with new or anonymous musicians for their osts. So many vocaloid/former vocaloid creators were brought on board for the op and eds.

One thing I love about the manga is how kobeni is presented. We know she doesn’t want to be sexualized due to her choice if being a devil hunter, so she is the least sexualized out of all the characters as that would go against her character.

I love that Denji and Power are like, "We'll be smart and use our brains to beat him!" Then you see them wearing glasses because that's what smart people wear. Even though they are the dumbest characters, they still act all proud about how smart they've become later on too

I don't understand how people can hate the CGI in this anime, like as long as you're not trying to notice it, it's a really fluid experience. Also any of the eds could've worked for an entire session, but getting 12 separate ones? Actually insane (Also I like the detail that the eternity devil's ed is called in the backroom, if you know yt horror, you know)

This anime has made me feel so many emotions in only 12 episodes. That’s an impressive feat and after I finished I couldn’t wait for you to win it!

A small detail that gets overlooked but the eyepatch girl didn't say "I'll give you my body" or "I'll give you my life". She specifically told ghost she will give it EVERYTHING and i think that included her feelings. This explains why the hand resurrected Denji and why it gave him the cigarette.

I feel like the moment Denji crawled on the floor at 31:17 is a small nod to the fact Pochita became his heart and Pochita was a dog, hence the crawl instead of just getting up

Fun fact about Katana man's special move: The delayed cut where his opponent take a while to actually got affected by it is actually part of his power and he got affected by it too. That's why he can trash talk for a few seconds before getting sliced in half.

Got to say having seen this anime I was shocked to see you were able to get this video to be almost an hour and a half with how (beautifully) gory this thing is and I also couldn't be happier!

This became one of my favorite anime, and I can't believe you already got this video out so fast. I'm a huge fan of yours and I appreciate your work very much. I find myself watching your videos to find new anime to watch. You introduced me to Konosuba, for which I'll always be grateful. :) Chainsaw man really rocked me. I loved the art, the music, the story, the characters, everything. It's in my top five favorite anime of all time now. Great video as always (at least, the first few minutes are - I accidentally came in pretty early. ;-). I agree with you about the opening - it's pretty incredible. I play it sometimes just to watch it. I also really loved Denji's voice actor - he's amazing. Thank you for your expertise, humor, and all of your work! The scene where Aki presses Denji's head up against the window in episode two - there's one more meaning. Or foreshadowing. Aki hears that Denji would befriend a devil... and immediately assigns Power to work with him, killing two birds with one stone. I like Aki for a lot of reasons, and I really think this is one of them. I'm going to sin this video one sin for saying the Soviets were so long ago. It wasn't that long... was it? Oh my.

That scene of Aki slowly making his coffee, than setting up on the porch sold me on his character. A smoke and a coffee is a classic Canadian breakfast, I love the little details of Chainsawman

It's *because* people have such unrealistic high expectations that padded bras exist to begin with. And they're not exactly uncommon--almost every single picture you see in a magazine or movie has used one.

I don’t think it’s contradictory to enjoy the hell out of Iruma (no pun intended) because that’s pure enjoyment while also loving the dark comedic genius of chainsaw man. In the end both are filling different loves we can have of having fun and watching kickass things. Both different flavors of fun

Fun fact:the ED9, by Aimer - Deep Down, was animated by a single artist! All. Of it!!! By one man!!! To me, it is the best song of this entire season.

it's sad that the translation got wrong what the Future Devil told Aki because it really shifts the view of what that deal was: he told him that "he's futture is going to rock BECAUSE he's going to have the worst death possible". THAT is why he only wanted to be on his left eye. to get to see such a terrible future in first row.

There actually was a mistranslation on ep 11 with the future devil,he says aki "will die in the worst possible way"

1:12:02 it isn't spelled out in the manga but people think that Denji's brain didn't properly heal. She damaged it again by bashing him and, when he re-healed, his brain was fully repaired. Like rebooting a computer.

Amazing how fast you got this out!!

Galgali (the violence fiend) is my favorite character in CSM. He's actually one of the more complex characters, especialy for a fiend. He's easily the most humane devil and actually understands emotions and how feelings work because he took over a newley dead body that still had some brain fucntion, which gave him some of the hosts memories. Also he's nice to Kobeni so 10/10

It took me over 3 days to get through this video, because I don't have the time to watch it all at once, and also my short attention span doesn't help. But clearly, this show has surpassed all expectations of both new viewers and manga readers alike. The show is less of an animation and more of a cinematic experience. I'm so glad the directors realised that adapting the work of someone like Fujimoto who takes full advantage of the pen and paper medium was impossible in a contrasting medium such as animation, and they put their own spin on it. Adding scenes like Aki's little morning routine to it, and the trio hanging out at the end, added so much life and personality to the whole thing. Not to mention the insane animation quality, amazing dynamic cinematic shots during the fight scenes, and the banger OST. This was probably the best anime adaptation of any manga ever. It managed to retain the essence of Chainsaw Man, while putting its own spin on it. Can't wait for season 2.

The two things that shocked me more about Chainsaw Man than anything else is how many people took forever to realise that Makima is clearly manipulating Denji,if they realised at all, and how many people were totally down for Himeno sleeping with a drunk minor.

Damn man, In the Back Room is by far my favorite ending, that shit lives in my brain since I heard it, hearing you didn't like it that much made me mad, I had to get over myself for a second xD. It's always so wild to hear which endings people love compaired to others. Their all so different and bring so much many styles to CSM that somehow all enraptured the energy of the show. We were truly blessed with this adaption.
