    I have a 2013 Lincoln MKT EcoBoost and I love it! It has an extended CPO warranty that i got unitl like 120k miles and i'm currently at 80k after 2 years (got it with 60k). It's definitely had a bunch of software issues and glitches here and there, but the bang for my buck has been EPIC. Everyone ive showed the car to loves it. The fridge in the 2nd row with the heated and cooled captains chairs is a hit! And i love the 365HP engine. And the fact that it parks itself is epic too. It's a quirky whale of a car, but damn i love it still!

    The reason all that trim is loose and the screen is a bit messed up is because at some point that console and dash were pulled apart. Most likely from some type of collision. A lincoln dealer wouldn't let it leave like that if it was for a service item. Just my 2 cents. Nice video.

    I got a 2010 with the 3.5 and it now has 164,000 miles. It's on its original water pump and timing chain. Only had to replace a few coils and the fuel evap canister. I do need a catalytic converter now I was told and struts and my drivers door mysteriously locks by itself but no other problems. It rides good and I like it. I'm going to probably upgrade to a CPO Aviator next year some time

    This is a used vehicle...... I am sure it has been to a mechanic or two who might not have cared and broke the panels trying to take them off. Also most new cars today have issues with body panel alignment, unless you are buying a car worth the money, $100K plus.

    Heads up about the little gap and issue with the paint on the left rear quarter panel and bumper: I've seen that issue before, and it's most likely because the rear bumper has been taken off and repainted!

    A couple months ago, I had the car taken in for service to have a lot of the body panels readjusted. However, this stuff towards the rear bumper remains, including those quarter panels not fully lining up. I have another service coming soon before the warranty runs out, and I will have it further looked at.

    Local car lot 2019 MKT, 137k, asking $16k Test drove it. Engine and transmission feel solid. But feel needs motor mounts, lower front control arms, all 4 wheels need shocks springs and wheel hubs. My current Buick a front strut is $78. This 2019 Lincoln MKT thatbsame front strut is $245 Starting to debate if worth it

    Parts are going to be more expensive. It's a luxury car while your Buick isn't one. That said, the good news is these MKTs aren't all *that* complex mechanically. There's no super-remarkable suspension technology. You can probably save some money with the right cross-referencing. The OEM part number is de9z18124j. You find any OE-equivalent for cheaper with that? No knockoff parts though.

    the turbo engine is useless on this car. have the same 3.7 fwd which is the same engine basically, you can't use all the power it has anyway due to the design of suspension and brakes. overall its a good deal on used car. when soon closer to 100ml you can't start the engine its not the fuel pump, it will be the fuel pump relay hiding behind the plastic cover on the right passenger side, fails on every single of them. it cost like 50$, you can just buy it and throw in the car just in case it happens. but the biggest problem is water pump. what a stupid design they made. I am thinking about doing oil analysis every oil change to see what's going on inside but not sure it will help.

    If you get it closer to $10k and then you get an aftermarket warranty IMMEDIATELY, go for it. Being nearly 8 years old such a car would be eligible for a trade-in of between $8-10k. Remember that our first turbo failed somewhere after 90,000 miles.

  • @EA40

    @EA40

    @@miqdadc9822 If you can get that warranty for longer than a year, good move. Ultimately there will be 4 things that will most likely fail on you: - Turbo 1 - Turbo 2 - Water pump - Power Transfer Unit At the very least, change the fluid in your PTU as soon as you can, and you might as well flush the trans fluid too while you're at it. When the car works, it works well. It's just those 4 mechanical bits that will eventually quit on you. How bad of a decision your acquisition is depends on how good your extended warranty is.

The lease on my wife's car is up and honestly even if we weren't in a pandemic I'm not leasing "crash" another car so she can play garage bumper car demolition derby in Manhattan. @@mercedesbenzs600bash GREAT question. Occasionally what happens is that if the fluid had never been flushed before and the transmission is slightly broken, a fluid flush could make it worse because the fresh fluid lacks the thickness and perhaps some metal shavings. It can really depend on the specific car.

    We had a 2010 Ford Flex Limited (every available option) that we bought in 2011... traded it this year with 160k miles on it... we bought a 2019 Lincoln MKT and we love it! So much more luxurious... and love the MKT’s AWD and Ecoboost engine! We got a vehicle which sticker price was in the mid-high $50k’s with only 30k miles for under $25k... plus it was Lincoln Certified which includes a 6 year/100,000 mile warranty... that was included! So, before TT&L, we were under $25k... has all the tech, too: lane departure, collision warning/avoidance, and self parking... Sync 3... Panoramic roof... heated/cooled front seats... heated rear... power folding/unfolding 3rd row... too much to list... you should get a certified pre-owned... and don’t worry about anything! Do it!

    Justin Young ... I couldn’t talk my wife out of it if I wanted to. She loves it! She had her Flex for almost 10 years (I change vehicles every year or two 🤦🏻‍♂️). We looked at all of the brands, and there was nothing better for our lifestyle for the money. Again, if you want peace of mind... buy certified or have them certify it for you (it will cost you I’m sure).... but then don’t look back!

  • @EA40

    @Justin Young These cars don't have air suspension. In a way I slightly wish they did but honestly that's just one more thing to go wrong. Get a Certified pre-owned if you get one; that's what ours is and frankly the warranty is better than the new car warranty. And like Dennis said above, he couldn't talk his wife out of it? I basically couldn't talk my Mom out of this car. I couldn't fully talk myself out of it to be honest. The car's depreciation downfall also helped; ultimately we got sandwiched in a spot where the XC90 we wanted was more than what we'd like to spend on a depreciating car, and the other XC90 specs were missing too much. Maybe in the future I'll help my Mom buy a V90 Cross Country.

    This was obviously in an accident from a rental or insurance company. Given to a collision center fixed but sold too quick to fix the interiot. As for the external panel with body work you can never really get things flush . This is why you take a vehicle to an independant inspection and they will look at the frame and other parts for you. And dont think because it looks good on the outside and the carfax is "clean" that it hasnt been wrecked.
