@@roniboyd613 there's more than 1 video of it. One is right by Austin & Adam Rupp! Gorgeous 😍
Another reactor has mentioned and I agree with him. Any time you see Home Free just standing out in the grass, you know they are about to SING and knock your socks off.
Austria, not Australia, sorry Dylan! In the BTS for this video, they mention it was filmed near where they filmed the classic motion picture The Sound of Music. What a perfect backdrop for a beautiful old hymn and the glorious 5-part harmony of my favorite vocal group! Thank you for sharing your reaction to this one. It stirs the heart and soul, soothing the spirit! I love that Adam has a (too) short solo here. His sweet tenor adds so much. Have a great 2024!
If angels exist and they sing, this is what they would sound like.
This hymn definitely makes me emotional--Home Free's version is my very favorite version of all the many, many I have heard 😍 Besides the unbelievable 5-part harmony--and gorgeous backdrop of the Austrian Alps--getting to hear Adam Rupp's sweet tenor actually singing is a real treat ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ #HomeFree #AdamRuppSinging
Thank you for your wonderful reaction! It was filmed in Austria (Europe) in the Alps. I love getting to hear Adam Rupp a favorite tenor sing! Adam sang high notes with Rob and Austin! 😁 when they sing this at Christmas shows makes me 😭😭.
This is really a really old hymn
How Great Thou Art (O store Gud) is a Swedish spiritual song with lyrics from 1885 by Carl Boberg which was first printed on March 13, 1886. The music is a Swedish folk melody. It is one of the most widespread spiritual songs in the world.

I am so happy you explained this !
One of my favorites by them. This was filmed in the Austrian Alps when they were touring there. I believe that’s Adam all by himself. So beautiful. I think the church was a happy accident (but the song is about God after all and a happy accident by Him). Have a very Happy New Year!!!😍🥰
Everyone thank you so much for supporting DJ it means the world. Plus he should fix the poster in the background that drops down at the start of the video love u haha❤️❤️

Hi Peter! Hope to see you in another reaction soon!
A soul soothing song. We hear Adam’s beautiful voice and it’s so heartfelt. So peaceful. ❤️🐇
I can tell you were tired. I can also see you were totally taken by surprise. This is one of the really rare times that we are treated to a solo of Adam Rupp singing. That very church was filmed in the movie The Sound of Music, which was filmed in part at this location.
Filmed while on Tour in Austria in the Alps.
They had been in Vienna for an a cappella get together, & had flown over this spot &, got hold of their crew here in the States….&, said, “How quick can you get here ???”…it’s not far from where “THE SOUND OF MUSIC” Was filmed . How beautiful is this ??? They do Take you to church !!!
The clean foreground Oooos are heavy with Adam Rupp.
The last time that I confused Australia with Austria was when I was in elementary school, over 60 years ago. Confirm the Austrian location by checking their "From the Vault" for this video.
They even sneak in a little snip from my favorite hymn ("It is Well").
The posters falling was God trying to get your attention. Happy New Year from the Oregon coast.
They were in Austria for another reason and came across this area and decided it would be a perfect place to film this. I think their film crew flew over and made it happen. It is so beautiful for such a beautiful song and such beautiful singing.

Lol oops! Well it's a beautiful location either way
Thanks 😊
This is in the Austian Alps. The vista definitely does fit the music. They were flying over them when they decided that it was the perfect spot for that song...I have to agree.
This was filmed near the chapel of the Kemater Alp (in German: Kemater-Alm) in Tyrol in the Austrian Alps. Thanks for your reaction!

My mistake :) thanks for the info :)
This was filmed in the Austrian Alps - my favourite rendition of one of my favourite hymns. No beatboxing in this one & Adam even sings a few lines solo! The singing, harmonies & scenery are all simply gorgeous (there's a live version "Home Free Kearney" where they wind up singing it on a picnic table during a thunderstorm - the thunder, flickering lights & wind just make it even more chilling).
Adam Rupp can sing. The original Home Free was a trio, and Adam is a wonderful tenor. He volunteered to beat box because they needed one.
Nothing was added. Adam rupp has an awesome voice. When he is not beatboxing you can hear him singing.
Watch behind the scenes of Home Free for this video Austin sings the ( The hills are alive with the sound of music).
Glad you finally got to this beautiful hymn. Filmed in Austria not Australia.
This was never my favorite hymn in the church choir of my youth -- maybe because my mother, the organist, hated the way the congregation dragged her down slower and slower and slower... But Home Free has found every possible beauty the old song has to offer and put it together into a 5-part harmony that totally engages! Thanks for a great reaction to the boys, and for the view of your new setup. You look different backwards!

I was just thinking about the same thing! This is my favorite version of this song, because they keep the tempo up where it should be, they are singing such great harmonies, and the diction couldn't be better! And of course, everyone is on the right key!

Totally agree. I never cared for this song. I swear it became almost traumatic for me sitting in church and listening to the same guy sing every verse of this nearly every week, and it would get slower and slower and s l o w e r and s l o w e r. It was excruciating lol. HF has redeemed this beautiful hymn for me, and I never ever thought that would be possible.

Having grown up in a church with an organist who made the very lively song “I’ve got that joy, joy, joy, joy deep in my heart” sound like a funeral dirge, I’m now trying to picture anyone dragging her even slower.
It was Adam Rupp singing that part “It is well”, not Adam Chance, who sings lead on numerous songs. Also, the video was filmed in the Austrian Alps when they were there for a music festival. They passed that area and thought how great that scenery would be perfect for a video!

I think I’ve watched this reaction video at about 10 different times. I keep coming back because it’s amazing.
I had this played at my mom’s funeral. It was the first video of theirs that I played for her, and so it was only fitting for it to be the last song I played for her!
Shocked you haven't done this yet. It is by far top 3 from them.
Thank you for this one. Adam Rupp was that difference in the high voices you were talking about. He was much higher than Austin. He said he didn't like his voice because it sounds like a girl. Who cares? It's beautiful. I grew up singing this song in church. All Acapella church. My dad's best friend sat behind us. He had a deep beautiful bass voice. He was like a grandpa to me. I still hear his voice. Love your soul. Grandma Shirley, peace out. ✌️

Oh no! My mistake sorry!
Thats the Alps in Austria.
Adam R is singing all those high oohs at the end when Austin and Rob are singing melody. We were there at that exact spot when we were in Austria. We have a picture of that church!!
I just saw them in concert this past November in Panama City, Fl. They sang " How Great Thou Art," and they sounded this good in person.. Adam Rupp has a beautiful tenor voice. Thanks for your videos, new subscriber, love your channel.
Austria! I felt it had a kind of Sound Of Music vibe to the cinematography.
This is probably the only reaction to this song where I had to laugh a few times. You need sleep, DJ
Don’t know if anyone on here mentioned it but this is filmed in Austria during one of their tours. Great reaction
They were on one of their European tours when flying over the Alps looking out the window when they saw this valley. They knew right away that this was the spot. I read somewhere that’s what happened, although I never verified it.
My family on both sides are very religious and our faith is based a lot in song as well. On sunday evenings after church we would all go to my grandparents house and have what we always called tea time. Was just time to spend together having fun, but we did a lot of singing there. How Great Thou Art was a strong favorite and even now when I hear it I can hear my grandfather and my mom singing it. My mom had a high tenor voice so when I hear Adam Rupp I hear my mom's voice. His voice is so clear and pure it is angelic - to me anyway. My mom passed away almost 10 years ago now (3-9-14) from Alzheimer's and the last 6 months or so she was bad but would calm right down - if she was having a hard time for whatever reason - and if it was one she recognized, she'd try and sing along. It was painful towards the end to hear her listen to this song and not remember the words, but at least she remembered it was one she knew. I couldn't listen to it for a long time after she died because I could hear her singing and it made me miss her so much more. So when I saw that Home Free had recorded it, I took a chance and I had goosebumps because I heard all my family singing it and it almost freed my heart to listen to it again. It just sounds right that they sing it. But like you, I was blown away when I heard Adam Rupp singing. I've wondered a few times when there's been no beatboxing who the high tenor was above Austin and the 2 of them just sound so amazing.

I’m so glad Home Free was able to give this beautiful hymn back to you to enjoy again. It does just sound right when they sing it.
Serendipitous or miraculous? Beautiful!
This song was my introduction to Home Free ... I've been addicted ever since ! #HOMEFREE !
Great way to start the New Year, seeing the reaction to Home Free's "How Great Thou Art".
This is gorgeous! Adam has a very beautiful tenor voice. I wish he would sing more, but he prefers beatboxing.
I have written it down in my final wishes that I want this played at my memorial service. It has always been my very favorite hymn, and no one does it better.
My favorite 2 things in this song Adam's solo that's his voice, and Chance and Tim singing bass together
Hymns aren't my thing, but the first time I heard this it brought tears to my eyes. I have heard other artists do this and make the music secondary to their "look at me" performance. But Home Free always lets the music be the star. Fabulous arrangement by Darren Rust and a master class in 5-part harmony. Always a plus to hear Adam sing.
Thank you for the reaction. There's still time for you to react to Auld Lang Syde for the New Year. CHEERS!!

One of their best!! You need to watch Colder Weather next❤
I feel like this is their most inspired video, definitely God inspired! My favorite version of a most beloved hymn. Enjoyed your reaction! Was filmed in Austria.
If you have seen The Sound of Music this was shot in the Austrian Alps not too far from where the opening scene with Julie Andrews was filmed all five are singing and any time that happens it is special.
Adam needs to sing more often - he has a bigger part in 'my country tis of thee' and I had to rewind to re-listen to him a few times too
This is another one that makes me think, "when Home Free sings, the Angels stop to listen".
The studio looks great. No more getting out a mirror to read your shirts. How Great Thou Art was one of Mom's favorite hymns and HF does a perfect rendition. She would have loved it.
Once again, great reaction. This is my favorite hymn. It makes me tear up Everytime. They're in Austria along the Alps. I loved the statement on the church. I think that Home Free is a happy little accident. God sent us a great gift. A lot of great talent has come to earth over the past few years. Maybe this will help heal our world. Bless you for the wonderful entertainment you offer daily. ✌️❤️🙏🏳️🌈

They kept people's spirits up during the lockdown. And almost every reactor comments on how much Home Free's singing makes them happy Other singers may sound equally beautiful, but Home Free has a special quality. Their music makes you feel hopeful and happy. Their singing is like a balm on the soul. It's no accident.
I Adam would sing solo more often! He has a beautiful tenor voice. Loved the reaction

Angelic choir backed by a pipe organ. And Tim and Chance hit us with the double bass at the end. This is the 2nd song I devoured by them, on my way to becoming a Home Fry.
It’s Austria, but that doesn’t matter. Having said that, I truly love your new cam. Not that you needed to get one, but you actually look younger with the new one!!! Fountain of youth! I’m here for it, as you say 😊

Aww thanks haha gosh all I see is HD flaws but I think that's what everyone sees when they look at themselves haha
This is goose bumps every time. Such a fantastic song done fantastically by our guys. You should really look into their behind the scene videos because despite the gorgeousness of this video, you know they were silliness behind the scenes
Whether you have a belief in a god or not, you can't deny that the combination of sight and sound is magnificent. SUch a gareat arrangement, such beautiful voices, it can't get much better. About Adam's part - I believe Darren double tracked him to keep the sound more full - against the full 5 voices, just his voice may have been a bit 'small'. Although he sings it alone when they do it live and it is gorgeous.
Adam RUPP, not adam chance. 😉🥰 honest mistake being so shocked 😂❤❤ we know how you're feeling. 🥰🥰
As someone who has heard this song Live from them, this is an accurate representation. Just pure magic and worship :)
During Adam Rupp's solo, it's chorused with himself. I DJ Karaoke and I use that effect during quieter sections of songs, but he has a stunning tenor voice that you hear in studio produced songs. I think he's closer to Rob's tenor range than to Austin's.

My guess had been that Adam's solo was doubled up. Thanks for reinforcing my opinion. Not quite an actual confirmation, but that will probably never come.
Don't feel bad. The Salzburg, Austria, airport has a customer service desk to help those who thought they were flying to Australia. Love your new setup!
That would be the Austrian Alps!
This video was in Austira, not Australia!!
Great way to kick off 2024....with the most beautiful vocal harmonies ever!
Yes, Adam (and all of them) have some effects on them. But his voice partly sounds like that because he's near the bottom of his Head Voice range. I found your channel today and just binged all your Home Free Reactions. 🔥 Gotta say I'm a bit surprised you didn't do their version of Auld Lang Syne for New Years. 🤷🏽♂️😉
The tale as I read it was that they were flying over the Alps in a helicopter, and asked to be put down -- then sang. Adam Rupp was singing equivalent to a high soprano descant.
Our #HomeFreeGuys simply just NEVER disappoint!!! This song is a favorite of most Christians, & maybe even Jewish, who knows? But it’s amazing & so beautiful, & #HomeFree knocked it out of the park!!! Their video of it made me cry, but happy tears!!! And yes, gave me chills!!! I’m so glad you finally reviewed it!
Puts tears in my eyes every time.
Agreed that this world didn't come about from a happy accident😊 The reverence with which they sing this song and the video images that capture the words of the song are just magnificent. Depending on the day when I listen to this song, I get goosebumps, tears or both!
You can catch a snippet of him in their video for Quarantine. Beautiful voice indeed.
This is the best rendition of this song that many people say.
DYLAN. THE SOUND OF MUSIC WAS FILMED HERE IT IS THE AUSTRIAN SECTION OF THE ALPS. DIFFERENT COUNTRIES HAVE THE ALPS AS THEIR MOUNTAINSCAPE BACKDROP.
This was filmed in the Austrian Alps while they were on tour. Adam Rupp doesn't like singing solo, but has since been working on it. They did absolutely fantastic job with this song. They actually have a Home Away From Home of this shoot. I really enjoy watching your reaction to these guys.

LOL This one melted your brain so much LOLOL I love that about you and I understand ! HUGS from Wisconsin!
Adam was also doing the high notes that float above the other voices. One of Home Free’s gifts is that they feel what they are singing about. One more reason why I connect with them so much.
