I saw my first Giant Gourami today 😁😁😁!!! It was at a place called Squire's Aquatic Centre in the UK. The description of it reminded me of me: scary-looking, but calm (and easily startled.) Thanks for your video.

Mine is 24 inches long and width of 8 inches they are 2 of them🥰 i bought them about 3 inches. They are almost 3yrs keeper from philippines

Your be surprised how friendly a female giant gourami can be I have a full grown one with loads of fish and the little swim close to the gourami as they know no one goes near her

After seeing this video I had decided to buy this monster fish for my monster tank

I had 6 gaint gauramis in a tank of 2 feet hight and width of 4 feet but when they grew older one of them started being aggressive and killed his tank mates.And now he lives in an outdoor pond full of guppies, He is now almost 40 or 45 cm

You can feed twice a day, they can survive 3 to 4 days without food

Yes, add a air stone with moderate flow,it can not harm the bubble nest And socondly you need 250-300 gallons tank

Canister filter is the best option... But I was using sponge and corner filter and wash it every week...

Why does my giant gourami attack my parrot cichlids? They're just almost the same size, it's just that my gourami is 2 inch bigger than my 2 Parrot Cichlids. They were together before. Before he was really peaceful, my parrots and convict cichlids were even the ones bullying him if he gets closer to their territory, but not often cos the tank is big. He actually has a scar from the parrots' attack cos they attack him together when he's close to them but they wouldn't chase. But now I had to separate them cos the gourami is now extremely aggressive towards them. He would find and chase them all around the tank to the point that my parrots will no longer fight back and wouldn't come out to their cave. My gourami even killed my convict when I was at work. I didn't think he'd be this aggressive because he was really peaceful before. It was really stressful to watch but I didn't want to take him away so I bought another tank unwillingly but desperately😂

That's what I also taught when I buyed my gourami it's with other fishes like koi on the pet store but now after I place him on the tank he killed my iridescent shark I was so sad that I hurted him when he killed my iridescent shark My iridescent shark was very peaceful fish and doesn't harm any small fishes when I had a small angel fish on the tank they lived peacefully but my angel fish become so sad I got desperately buyed new friends but he's still sad and I can tell he's because he's just always in one corner of the tank he never swims in any part of the tank even I had buyed very nice koi or tiger Oscar for him to have new friends he still can't forget my iridescent shark they use to swim together is sad for me seeing my angel fish so sad he still eats but he's not a happy swimmer anymore

Their not peaceful fish and their are not good tank mates for other fish this kind of fish killed my iridescent shark and almost killed my angel fish I personally see my iridescent shark getting bit by this gourami I regret buying it And i will never buyed again a gourami again No hates for gourami lovers But I just want to share my horrible experience with this fish
