it is overwhelming, but it just goes to show how big of a disparity there is of game knowledge when you compare 2k to 8k mmr in this example. implementing even a quarter of what he says will drastically improve your gameplay.

You can always look at your own creep wave position to guess where opponents creep wave is going to be, if yours bottom creep wave is under tier 2 then enemy's top creep wave is going to also be at their tier 2.

The analysis and advice in this video are very insightful. I must admit that I tend to only focus on my lane and hero too much. Although I make an effort to be aware of who's missing on the map, I don't check the item progress of the enemy team as much. I'm the kind of player who only deals with problems when they're already right in front of me. In other words, I don't think ahead that much of who's gonna potentially dominate the game.

Great in-depth analysis as usual, pain! Your fps is nearly 300, can i know the gear you’re using? My 3060 on ryzen 7 5800 gives me around 150 fps average only

I would suggest a support coaching video, but in low mmr is just a grief roulette. U can do perfectly but in mayority of games ur team think as crusader or below, and it's that it is... So in any case I realized is better to climb as a farming carry/pusher supp. Without grieffing on your role

Very good points. Now I'd love your opinion on the following topic: Void is a hero that needs his team to play around him, right? Only fight if Chrono is up. Hit people inside Chrono and so on. That is a HUGE weakness for some carries in 2k bracket imo. Which heroes on your opinion can win on their own? I have fantastic expieriences with PL, Naga, Jugger. The first one is nigh unkillable if you don't have the right heroes late. The second one can farm fast even without team, has a great escape, can push 2 lanes without team and you have won in 2k as soon as one barracks falls top or bot. And the last one has a mini ult that allows him to fight early with team, great escape with first skill+tp and is strong throughout the game. Any more heroes that come to mind? Or any commtents to this list of heroes? Edit: Also about the Rosh thing. I KNOW - noone wants to take it. I ping it out after killing enemy team and lanes beeing pushed in - in 50% of the cases noone comes. So I also need a hero that is capable doing so alone efficiently.

I'm struggling with getting out of 2k but slowly progressing towards it and I usually win solo games if I get to farm enough with WK and Morphling as carry. You are right, void is not a great pick for low rank cause you need coordination with your team something is very rare that's why I don't pick it I hope I can get to 3k soon and start testing new heroes. Another heroe which I carry with very easily is Llifestealer.

PA bro, buy threads deso then divine then farm heroes for aghs. I'm dumb so don't take this advice seriously hahahaha. U would be forced to take rosh everytime it respawns and u would never be seen again in lanes once u get aghs except when u kill heroes

Use an attack move command by pressing A and clicking the ground. There are settings for how the attack move works, use whichever setting you prefer. A neat thing about attack move commands is that if you've got stuff like Weaver bugs or Grimstroke ghosts attached to you, your hero will prioritize attacking it above all else, so it's a good way to get rid of those even if you've got enemies right on top of you (or just in general because it can be hard to click them precisely while a lot of stuff is going on)

Genuine question. Isn't it just better to have circlet+slippers and queue wraith band to buy it immediately after bounty instead of circlet+slippers and 2 branches if you know you'll not get wand?

Ideally, you don't want to have unused gold in the sidelanes because there isn't a big item timing you are aiming for that you need to save for like bottle for mid as an example. Bounties give you 80 gold and with 2-3 last hits u can get ur wb

Mentioned luck is when your teammate drafts a support player, despised 2k players drafted with supports that actually plays carry.

Bro it's so sad, I had last week 2200 MMR but i I lost 10-15 match in row coz of bad Team (noobs) I play most time support and I play perfect believe me! idk man, these safelaners are picking whatever they want as if its easy to accumulate gold. its always a race and if u will pick a hero without a farming skill then at least pick a safelane with good mobility so he can roam the map well, to back up in clash or cut lanes like anti mage. This void,unless u are a spammer is def fine, but if u are just randomly picking, might as well go for TA. she scale well at late game and its not hard to farm unless your team is really a pile of bolocks

The main problem with void I see even in 5-6k bracket is chrono usage. Where high mmr players really hold their chrono for the appropriate target or not using it right away, lower mmr players dont understand that at all. I suggest to play void against od, venge, sd type of heroes and test ur chrono skills

i have 500+ games with void . idk my my thinking style is right. but void is a very good first blood hero. his q can be used to catch , body block, put a tree to infront of enemy to change is walking animation to catch him . is my play style right or too risky

nah hes too squishy and doesn't provide much lvl 1 compared to heroes with reliable slow/stun/burst at the same lvl. its cool if u have the chance, but u still rely on better lvl 1 heroes on your team really

Man. Ten years of videos like this. Why is it so hard to admit that as an individual you don't have a lot of agency in the game. You're 1/10 of the field, 1/5 of your team. For every mistake i make, i have 4 teammates each making at least one themselves... So yes. Some people are low because of their teammates. Idgaf what anyone says, unless you're 3x the mmr of what the game ranks you as, you can't singlehandedly win games in spite of bad teammates. I could be the best goal scorer in the world but that doesnt mean shit if my goalie spends the game behind the net. You're telling me that if the enemy scores a bunch of times on an open net, it's my fault? In any case you get as good as who you play with. Itemization, map awareness, game knowledge, positioning, farming mechanics - these are all easy skills. The problem is attitudes with a lot of players. Lack of teamwork. There are very few games that I've played that ended up being a loss because of me playing bad, making critical errors, griefing etc. A large percentage of my losses were due to baby teammates who throw by refusing to play their role or work with the team. Cuz ill be honest theres nothing in this video i didnt already know. Im just exhausted after years of trying to Sheppard my teammtes in the right direction.

You overrate 2k MMR sir. As a player sitting at 2050 mmr I think you guys think people have an IQ in this rank. Roshan isn't an option under 40minutes in 2k, until you get team wiped trying to HG, then your team wants to rosh it doesn't matter how many times u say or ping. Even if you look at minimap and call smokes because they are split with no tp, people in 2k DO NOT CARE and no plays will be made. You think if you just ping a smoke they will come, no that is false. When a game is at 45minutes and lets say we team wipe an enemy team, my team including supports will go jungle on our side of map instead of pushing waves or hg, then when I die solo mid and wonder why my supports are jungling on my side of map its my fault because im noob and throwing. Welcome to 2k. I'd pay you to coach me a session :) I would love to know what to do in half these games where it seems as if its my supports or mid who ruin the game. And low rank games last so long because people are just bad and can't farm or do plays. Its solo dota where u hope your team comes as 5 before the enemy does. I could carry and be 6 slotted 30-35mins but If i give to someone else they got 2 items in 40mins. That sir is 2k. It's also so interesting to see other 2k players, because im sure my areas of improvement are completely different than this guy. Lane mechanics like pulling away from viper and not using time lapse/wand is very obvious to me but not this guy apparently. But I will say I put 0 thought into spectre haunt at 6 so I definitely learned a lot watching still, thank you for the video sir.

Unfortunately the teammates play a huge role at this rating since they make the game unplayable

I think what you're missing is that enemy has 5 crappy team mates, you have 4 crappy team mates. As long as you are reliably farming / playing better than the enemy carry, you'll easily climb with a 60% - 85% win rate no matter what your team does, since the enemy is absolutely garbage.

​@@bmbm1Sure can, if you're AFK farming/not creating pressure/not doing anything on the map. Some games will be super hard to come back from with all lanes stomped, snowballing enemy heroes, etc. But guaranteed those games where you're saying 'enemy team has 20 kills in 12 minutes' - you're probably doing something wrong. Watch PainDota's explanation/analysis of the moves this void makes at 26-28mins. It's not just about farming, but about how you can farm and create pressure on the map, and when to show up to fights/understanding power spikes. But you can also blame your teammates, that's fine. You just won't gain MMR that way.

Not really, on my 2k smurf I can constantly get 20+ kills, they die so easily like a fly, I wonder if do they even use their brain when playing... Sorry if I sound kinda arrogant but that's how bad the player are and you don't even need to rely on your teammate that much
