Well if youre a foreigner youre more likely to be helped by filipinos, however its the opposite if youre a local. They dont take care of their own people but put more effort in tourists cause they care about how theyre perceived so much by people abroad. I’m half filipino myself grew up here most of my life and its the sad reality. You can’t differentiate if a person is being genuine or fake here. Its hard to make true friends as well.

Respect to that girl for suspecting Mergim of scamming rofl, she's cool and nice!

Chattin people up, joyride through Rockwell, making new friends, getting a pair of Clarks at a marked down price at a members-only sale event, good ham sandwich (it looked good anyway). Total sponteneity - and she let you go with her, and she was cute. That James guy from earlier on the bike looked like a really sweet kid too. Your vlogs are usually pretty interesting, but this is one of the most interesting of your vlogs by far, in my opinion… and it all took place in Rockwell. Clarks are awesome!

Makati is primarily a business district. It is where a lot of people go to work. Therefore, it is quiet on weekends.

The spontaneity of this vlog is awesome.

Rockwell is one of the most exclusive townships in the country. A lot of rich and well established families shop, live and hangout. Super vibes though. Always love that place.

You passed by Bel Air village, one of the most expensive subdivisions in Makati. I think the route you took is correct. Mandaluyong is already on the other side of Pasig River. You don't have to cross Pasig River to go to Rockwell from BGC. Power Plant mall is used to be an oil-fired power plant, generating electricity, owned and operated by Meralco.

Clark shoes been here for 30 yrs now. They're well known for wide style shoes. I bought one of those in the 90s and they last forever. You can't beat if for that price. Nice find

Power Plant, Podium.. the surrounding residential villages are Urdaneta Village, Bel-Air Village, Palm Village then you have the back of Ayala Ave where the entrances to the condominiums are Twin Towers, Pacific Towers, The Ritz, Tuscany and The Peninsula Hotel. Jupiter St around there has a lot of good restos.

There's a Clark's branch in Glorietta 3 in case you're interested in checking more out.

Rockwell is previously a power plant u have to visit their food alley u will luv it.

Rich people do like quiet, laid-back and with a sense of exclusivity. You'll find other places like similar to rockwell and Bel-Air around Manila where uber crazy rich Filipinos live. You still have no idea i guess.. its just the tip of an iceberg

Nice how you get to easily chat with the locals. Pinoys would be a bit wary doing it with fellow Pinoys. The Rockwell area caters to the more high end (usually class A&B), crowd in the Metro.

Makati on a Sunday is usually quiet, because most businesses are off on the weekend. But you might see malls be more congested cos they're out on family day.

Fully furnished 2BR for 90K in Rockwell is a bargain since they dont build shoebox condos there. She is most likely referring to the 89 square meters 2BR bec most of 2BR in that new build (Proscenium) is 100 to 120 sqm.

May brother lives across Rockwell at Acqua. There’s Clarks here in Alabang Town Center. You should try to explore the south area too.

Rockwell Center, same as BGC is actually a land owned and developed privately, roads and all buildings. that's why when at around 12 midnight they close their gates for security. It is a higher-end area, where millionaires stay mostly CEOs and executive, its also where diplomats stay. It's also where actors stay because of the Lopez Family. It's a luxury area. BTW Nov 5-9 at around 8pm, rockwell lights will be lit.

Mandaluyong is going farther north. Rockwell is in Makati. I used to live in Bel-air. You would not go to Mandaluyong to go to Rockwell from BGC. That’s crazy.

You want to buy, Mountain Bike or trail bike, road bikes. Go to Quiapo, ask locals there..there are a lot of stores of bike where you can choose and buy a bike... Side trip through Quinta Market after you buy a bike, take a local food Trip 😉 You can vlog the bike stores to promote them as well

Rockwell Land Corp is also a luxury developer of high ends condo. And this area in the video is one, if not the most premium residential areas of high rise condos in the whole country. Though i wonder where in the video did he assumed or say that Mega world is a luxury developer

I bought one Clarks shoes in my life but they're too OG now. Mergim should stay away from that fine lady or anyone from her social class. They're nice and all but having met a few of them in PH, they're in their own tight circle of friends they can trust -- anyone outside of it can be deemed suspicious; not her fault, just the reality of PH where many rich people get preyed on by lots of scammers. They're extra cautious in PH. If they met in the UK, though, it'd be a different story.
