i prefer short monitored introductions. kids dont need to get off the internet- parents and adults need to make and maintain places for them to grow and learn with it. thats how my parents did it and they were never as web literate as id become. myspace era was wild west stuff in some places- i avoided all of that cause mom and dad would question my traffic and comments. so i didnt run my mouth or get groomed. thats all it ever takes- responsibility is the price of freedom. lesson learned then, and ima pass it on myself when i become a parent.

Keffals is the perfect example of you either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a village. She started her brand as standing up for minorities and trans rights, only to then just let her ego go to her head and spiral out of control due to thinking she could do and get away with anything. And deciding to make both racist and ableist remarks despite a large amount of LGBT people being POC or neurodivergent only served as the nail in the coffin for her. While her platform still exists nowadays, I doubt she’ll ever recover the goodwill she once had and be seen as the very thing she sought to destroy.

I didn’t know about kefol until they made that vid with Barbara’s abuser and kefol came across as really exploitative, unemotional, creepy, arrogant, untruthful and seemed to make the entire interview directed at making all Chris’s responses somehow related to her and to try and gain sympathy from being like look here’s this person that’s being targeted by the same people that target me for no reason at all. It really annoyed me when she said Chris was totally normal and not mentally ill not long after Chris had introduced themself as a god with imaginary inter dimensional friends that have magic powers. The one thing I hate about this, as well as the Vaush drama, is the timing. Why now is it cool to turn against them? Both Keffals & Vaush had controversies that have been around for years, but it’s all crumbling apart seemingly because of one guy flashing his porn folder? Despite the schadenfreude it gives me, it just feels pathetic and like everyone only started focusing on this for the least of their sins. Put simply it feels disingenuous and as if people are going after them now that it’s cool, with some exceptions (shout out to Willy Mac and his older Keffals videos).
