When you marry, it is supposed to be forever . . . I am 60 years old and married for 35 years. My husband and I are both BELIEVERS IN GOD and our marriage has lasted because of that. It's more of a shame that people do not believe in GOD; because that's the only real happiness to be found in this world. People take marriage for granted and that is a destructive idea. It's definitely not about, "what someone needs at the time." This is the wrong kind of thinking . . . Unselfishness, Trust and Honesty after GOD of course are the key elements to a successful "life long" marriage. Our society is in complete decay because of the lack of commitment to GOD first, commitment to marriage, and finally a commitment to family. People have to change their way of thinking to follow GOD'S LAWS; not whatever they feel like being, doing, or thinking.

I agree that "failed relationship" is problematic term! Being together for a long time isn't the only way to define success. I saw a quote that said "I am committed to this relationship for as long as it is healthy for both of us" and I think that's a great perspective. Sometimes ending a relationship is the right decision and hopefully both people have learned and grown from the experience.

Why would she be even call gold digger. It's our human nature to find the best partner who can provide and protect the family.

You missed out the drama that made her now husband seem shady when they got together. Salma was pregnant before they got married and he had also impregnated the former supermodel Linda Evangelista around about the same time. She even took him to court for refusing to acknowledge he had fathered the son. Imagine their daughter has a half brother a couple months or so difference in age. So for anyone idealising this relationship as goals these people, are famous and have an amount of control over what gets put out about their private life. Oh well she seems happy with the choice she made.

The kids are around a year apart. His son was born October 06 and his daughter September 07. Sometimes relationships just happen that way. They are messy at times but I think they are pretty happy together. On social media it seems that Linda is happy that her son gets included more now and seems alright with Salma.

I don't think she's a gold digger. Not all women who date wealthy men are gold diggers. As a 31 year old woman who recently began dating a 50 year old man, I've had so-called family and friends saying that I'm with him for his money. It's horrible knowing that people think that about me when I actually genuinely love my partner. He knows it's never been about the money so good luck to Salma and her husband xx

This is so blipping encouraging! I love that they keep their money separate, and that he told her the world hasn't seen her best work yet, that he didn't marry a lazy girl! I've always dreamed of an otherworldly relationship in which neither party can take a material thing from the other, a relationship of the purest love and appreciation (though I know "love is action," as impractical as this may be sometimes)! Maybe I had that, but the world and other people intentionally got in our way. (Wish I could say, Lol!) However, life is beautiful, people are adorable, and this alone, well, God alone and His cause of love, prods me off my proverbial seat and into action once again! Thank God!!!

A relationship where money or material possesions are separated is not a true love relationship. Where there’s love everything is shared. There is no longer “mine” and “yours”, everything is “ours”. And this doesn’t mean you are putting yourself at risk to be taken advantage of, becouse you have eyes to see if someone truly loves you. I am married but I can’t imagine a relationship where we have our separated possesions. We are one, we have everything together. Of course, excepting clothes or things like that :)

I wonder if she would've married him if he was not rich but a humble middle-class guy?

@@nicolasguierre8758 nothing wrong with that.I know people who are not rich and marry for love and they end up divorced a year later. Just because someone marries for love does not mean their marriage will last. At least her marriage to him has lasted. And she’s only been married once.

We enjoyed the video a lot you did a great job putting it together and you made us see why they love each other so much and not everything has to be negative I need to see some positive loving couples and why they love each other

The only difference: 1. Francois-Henri is more low-profile while Tommy is controversial figure with a high-profile ex. 2. Salma is known in the US, while Thalia is not. 3. Salma is a sexy actress, Thalia has this sultry pop-star image.
