77 year old from San Francisco Bay Area in California, but now an expat in Baja California Sur. I live in a beautiful natural place next to the sea in a beautiful desert full of birds and bees, very quiet and peaceful, and my life is full of Dimash now too. He touches our souls. And he is an antidote to the shame I feel being an American with all the damage to the world my country keeps inflicting on people. This song is truly needed to be heard and acted on.

What I love and admire about Dimash is instead of using fame for self aggrandizement and continually building up and "selling" his image or brand, and constantly showing look at my mansions and cars, he employs his talents and wisdom and spirit and voice for a higher good, a higher vibrational awareness and connection for the world.

I want more good in the world under one sky. Thanks to Dimash for his contribution to the peaceful coexistence of people. I see that it was hard for the author to see all this. You may not have noticed in all the visual commotion that is going on not only between Russia and Ukraine but all around the world, but Your President is actually helping to usher in a new earth system that is not the Great Reset of the New World Order, and not only him but Trump, Ji, India, and a good and positive number of officials in every nation on earth that have banded together to create 1000 years of peace on earth. And this has 209 signatories at this stage. So what you see happening on the surface is not what is going on under the cover of letting evil on earth hang itself. Keep your vibrations high and positive as this contributes to the end result.

Of course there are the few that were in support of what Putin wanted; like that Russian Olympian that wore a “z” on his uniform. But most of you tried to flee but couldn’t. It is leaders like: Putin, Xi and the meathead out of N. Korea….. that makes their people suffer!

It might be interesting to know more about this production. This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). In the MV, the child who later becomes the military commander never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, the boy, gives his friend the pendant, the camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl. Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through rendering it useless as a compass. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way. The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war. The Piper's call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let's remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support the war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against? The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed-out buildings were women and children. The good guys defeated evil but at what price? War is not the answer. We must find better ways to keep evil in check. iowaculture.gov/…/worl…/american-troops-move-through The last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and birth are both sacraments and are interwoven in the tapestry of life. Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that buffets the pilgrims and hinder progress. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as exemplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby. The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.” Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. As the hymn tells us: "Let there peace in the world, and let it begin with me." Baraka Bashad.

He so impressed people that he was given a full scholarship for a year in CA at the NY Directors Academy to study. He released this right after the Ukraine War, so it hit a lot of people hard. You HAVE to watch this movie at least 4 more times to put the puzzle together because you were closing your eyes too much and missed a lot! Lol! Okay...now that you have seen this, you HAVE to react to the live version of him singing at the Almaty Concert last year. You will have a whole new stunned feeling. Thank you for your great and empathetic reaction. In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. The video is full of symbolism. No camera angle is unwanted, every scene has meaning and should be watched carefully to understand the video. And then there's his voice. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. During his concerts he always tells the audience he loves all people in every country. He visited so many different counties with his concerts and he realized that there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And OMG he is such a phenomenal actor. Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Ohm", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches. If you want to know more about this video check out dimashnews. com Btw, Dimash has received an award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. How wonderful is that🥰. He also gave a speech at the first Central Asian Media Forum, in which he once again strongly advocated peace. But I#‘m afraid it i You can see it with English subtitles. No more available kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZHdpl8NsndnMgA.html The official live version of his concert (on September 23, 2022 in front of 30,000 people from 68 different countries) is available on his channel, Almaty concert part 3 from minute 23:15 with a short speech in which he performed the song for the first time. You should definitely see this. There are subtitles in English kzread.info/dash/bejne/i4Rl1JuwnM7TeLg.html And he's been singing it in all his concerts ever since. But always a little different. Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

Hi Blake, Australia. Great reaction, thank you. Our Dimash is very vocal about the futility and human cost of war. He detests war and has stated that wars are always between two people not two nations. He has said that he is 'only a singer' so all he can do is 'use his voice. Dimash composed the music and wrote the screen play. This was a project 3 years in the making on and off in-between commitments in many countries and his homeland not to mention his concerts of which there was four in 2022 alone. Dimash premiered The Story of One Sky live at his concert in Almaty, Qazaqstan on the 23rd September and the video released on the 24th. The emotion, heart and soul is real and I believe this was a way for him to vent his frustration at current world events. Kazakhstan only became independent in 1991. Director Alina Veripya is second to none in her field and portrayed everything magnificently. I believe she also directed ‘Okay’ for Dimash which was a great video. The Story of One Sky is an absolute mind blowing masterpiece and deserves unrivalled recognition from all corners of the earth. This makes you sad, cry and smile but leaves you questioning the direction we as a humans are travelling. Dimash promised something epic and that was a colossal understatement. He delivered as always. I would strongly suggest watching the live version from Dimash’s Almaty concert.

G'day Blake from Australia. Dimash is in a destiny, very precise for this day and age. Life was created out of frequency, and Dimash produces frequency of many types that are feeding the saving of our world in various ways. We are entering into a new earth where all this garbage and corruption will not be allowed to stay, and there are many of us who are contributing to these changes through attitude and faith in all that is good and proper and agreement with why we are here. Your positive contributions are part of it.

@@BlakersReacts Hi again Blake, it will be well for all of us shortly. Hopefully our new world is beginning just days away, but may take a few years to transform into something where all corruption is gone. The world that is coming for those that will accept it is beyond belief, as is earth's true history. The best of health, longivity, abundance, prosperity, freedom, fulfillment, ....if you can imagine it, then it is most likely on it's way. The end of financial and other slavery, of spending your life working with little time for anything else, of having families destroyed in numerous ways. Living through multiple generations as our world grows and mingles with our universe. Keep your vibrations and faith levels high, that is a big part of it all.

Hello from Calgary, Canada. I have watched this soooo, many times, firstly not knowing his story of the lyrics, then later watching knowing the meaning. Those lyrics have so much, because of the overwhelming video, it's hard to catch all the religions, and their influences, (Holy scripts, musical instruments, Icons, chanting) money references, learn to share (love community) again, Not! Shares, as in stock markets, quotes, (John Lennon, past the point of "Imagine" ) historical events, governments (pied piper ref.) on and on. Took him 3 years to write, music composition, and produce this masterpiece. It's said to be one of the most expensive music videos ever! Plus, getting your head around the story line. Dimash is the soldier actor who is walk crouching in the shadows as the battle scene starts, and continues to act, fantastically throughout. Best (older) friend pulls him from the water, saves his life. His other friend (girl) loves him, over the older friend. The older friend resents their eventual love and marriage, becomes main nasty guy, his revenge eventually takes us to war, where Dimash becomes a soldier, but reality brings him to the ugliness and suffering. After killing the soldier in the room, he sits thinking of his wife and daughter (yes, that little girl) and knows he has to end this for himself, so he goes back to his home, (Historical village hit by American bombs by mistake), only to find the door kicked in, his family slaughtered. His (pregnant) wife and daughter make a run for it, but we all know what happened to his daughter, his wife goes into labor, and has a little boy, childbirth kills her, and they put the necklace on the boy. That necklace is a known compass, which gets bent in his friends hand, therefore sending him on a bad path. This story has so many more references within, please do your own research too. I cannot end without saying, his vocals are just insane! His skill to tell his storyline is masterful to say the least, I couldn't breath, I cried, like you I was rocking myself, a complete flipping mess. BRILLIANT! The more I watch this, the more relevant it gets, I get angry at how manipulated we are, and worried for my 26 yr old sons future. Greed and Power, it's destroying us.. I very much enjoy your channel, and of course, I have become a subscriber. Nice to meet you, Dee

Hello from Italy. I was born in Ecuador to an Italian father (Catholic) and an Algerian mother (Muslim converted to Catholicism but I have my Muslim relatives), but I am a Buddhist. 😅 This masterpiece by Dimash particularly involves me because of this historical moment and I believe that the genius of this video is in many things, first of all the dramaturgical power that reaches its climax in the scratchy scream of Dimash underwater, the compositional complexity of the piece (it could be 2 or 3 different songs) that Dimash has composed with wisdom and authentic inspiration. And of course his vocal ability, especially from an interpretative point of view. A true masterpiece. Thank you for your real appreciation for Dimash, you are a very sensitive and empathetic person. ❤
