@@Monkie_. No excuses....Jett is a prodigy and that #1 is going to be on his bike for a long, long time baring any injuries and/ or bike malfunctions. He will break records. Honda is all in on the Lawrence brothers for the next 5-10 years.

@@MXJEFF94 yea I think he was only gonna go as fast as he needed to. The track was sketchy and rough. I also agree about the bike. First round there’s bound to be some adjustments need making.
Hunter had such a good debut, I'm so happy to see that
I was rooting for Deegan in outdoors last season, but had no problem with Hunter winning. He carries himself with a lot of class, happy to see him start out his 450 outdoors debut strong!

Jett jumping over that was definitely without a doubt faster, it was clear on TV he was pulling on those 2 quite allot in that section. But Hunter and Sexton were gaining more than that tsking the outside line before the finish.

😅 good interview. hunter really didn't want to talk about where he gained or even about that obvious fast line he showed chase. I kind of agree with hunter on the dragon's back though. at least by the 2nd moto when jett and hunter were next to each other, I saw no advantage to jett's line. he wasn't avoiding an extra jump. he was just deferring it. that said, it may have been more of an advantage in the 1st moto.
I wish I was as fast as any of the top 40 guys

The talent level at the top of the sport is so far beyond comprehension. The gap is far wider than in your traditional stick and ball sports. The gap between Jett and the guy in 20th is four times the distance of the worst backup quarterback to Patrick Mahomes.

@@seanhaberman4619I don’t always agree with you but you’ll get no argument from me there. People have no idea how hard it is putting in 10 minutes on a track as hard as they can go let alone the pace these guys can go for 35 minutes in 100 degree heat. Machines.
Hunter is a better outdoor rider then supercross by far , good job .

Hunters on Fire. Add Deegan, Vialle, Hampshire and Kitchen to that 450 Class next year and things could get really interesting. These kids have stepped the Game up a notch.

Hampshire will be the only one who rides in the 450 class next year. The rest all have another season at least.

@@seanhaberman4619 there was talk about deegan moving up next year if he dominated supercross. Which he didn’t so I’m sure he’ll race to get a championship. But if he dominates outdoors this year I wouldn’t be surprised if they bump him up to the 450’s. Especially if they have a crew shortage like this year

@austinray7925 it's highly unlikely he dominates outdoors this season. Even if he does, supercross is the thing the teams care about the most. He will need to win next year and then defend before they move him up. It's not his decision it's up to the team. They have Webb and Tomac on 450s. They don't need Deegan there yet.
Solid big brother stance, "everyone's on his nuts" gotta make sure to remind everyone Jett is still his little brother.
I always thought, based on how good Hunter was on the 250, that he'd quickly be one of the top guys on a 450. I mean he had some epic battles with Jett on the 250 and very few can say they've done that.
Hunter is definitely the cooler brother.
@0:38 It was two to three bike lengths faster, whatever that was in tenths IDK. It's literally how he passed him on the opening lap. He was a bike length back coming out of the turn/over the roller and finished the section over the last table two bikes ahead.

hopefully hunter can get his gate drop consistency up and we should expect many podiums and hopefully some wins. im not looking forward to another outdoor season of the jett show. i wanna see some damn competition for the title

Jett is unstoppable Hunter is Legendary Sexton is figuring it out still I imagine it must be demoralizing for everyone else wondering how they will ever get to the level the top 3 are riding at. I don’t even think Prado has anything for Jett or Hunter.

It’s the first race lol chase smoked hunter and made Jett look stoppable he just needs to stop the mistakes and keep the pressure on Jett until he cracks I feel like chase can keep a crazy pace for most of a moto possibly longer then jet he just ends up making a mistake or tucking the front

51, 21, etc., etc., they’re not even in the same solar system as these 3. I think Hunter will get better and CS1 absolutely, positively, unequivocally HAS TO STOP the mental errors. 2 bad ones yesterday. Those HAVE TO STOP.

the think is most riders make mistakes just like Chase. RC and James made mistakes every lap lol The difference is Jett rides picture perfect every time so anything short of perfection stands out so much more than it would if Jett wasn’t there

I really wish they would be more forthright about what bike changes they are actually making. It's not like it's some grand secret that other teams are going to steal when it comes to suspension adjustments.

@@noControl556 fans would, and other teams as well. doesn't matter how small, any change or update is pretty well guarded to keep the advantage. what kills me is Jett said he wasn't happy or comfortable on the bike and he had to ride around it. like...i'd have hated to see him completely happy and comfortable if he called THAT riding "unhappy".

Could obviously be wrong here but I feel like the riders just don't care for this guy.
I think the worse thing a racer can say about their bike is...we were struggling with it, ugh. that's so weak man...to blame the bike. I think it makes the bike sound crappy and never the rider... cant be good for sales. i would just say, i was riding well, but still looking for a better set up on the bike. win/win. rider and bike. they don't pay you millions to rag on the bike.

Hunter will never beat Jett you could see clearly he won’t pass Jett. Jett wasn’t even pushing until he realized it was Chase behind him. But Hunter will let Jett win to help Jett break records. Hunter is Jett’s wingman. And he will not start winning h til he isnt on the same team as Jett and don’t train together. But that will never happen

Nobody in MXGP would have been near Jett and Chase in that race. It's easy to set up a bike when your pace is so much slower.

After labouring through the 2nd grade spelling & grammar, then the simpleton like understanding of what a motorcycle represents, even in its most rudimentary form, I felt resigned to sparing myself the tedious embarrassment of attempting a response that would have to be sufficiently simplistic for even this poor soul to understand, who has clearly been deprived of the most basic form of education. I would suggest one that would clearly not allow even the most basic of explanation, even with crayon assisted drawings to penetrate his obviously underprivileged gray matter. So, I perceived to do what any rational, sane person would do in this circumstance... Just said, "Fuck this", & moved on.
