How is Drake a better artist? Drake has never gotten as vulnerable or honest as Kendrick has

Drake left songs that blew up and became trends Kendrick is hip hop artist as in hip hop is mostly dead nowadays so lyrically and flow wise Kendrick and Cole on top but trend wise it has to be Drake

@@FocusedBeastIXIII I don’t disagree but when talking about artistry, it’s artwork we’re talking about and it’s quality over everything

Drakes whole singing is him being vulnerable tbh

@@Dely_Streams not really, he knows it’s gonna sell, people actually enjoy the R&B and it’s not even the same type of vulnerability I’m talking about. Kendrick was being vulnerable about his trauma, savior complex, bigotry (which could’ve gotten him cancelled), toxicity and guilt. Drake just sings about being sad
Rap skill is subjective though. No one will ever agree, it’s impossible to be objective when it comes to music.

There’s different levels, though. If artists are close in skill level it’s subjective, but you can’t just say “6ix9ine is a more skilled rapper than Eminem”. It depends on if the rappers are both skilled when it goes from objective to subjective
Drake is a woman he plays off your feelings & club hits. Pop. Kendrick is a pure rapper & he plays off innovation & evolution of rap which requires a bit of gambles & lack of relatability to broader audiences. Rap. Cole just says what sounds good to him. He’s so caught up in his image that it negates his image, he’s hella biased & does what he thinks sounds right to people filtered through himself. Hip hop. Drakes always going to do what sells, Kendrick’s always going to do what he feels & Cole’s always gonna try & be something he wants to be, liked & at peace.

Drake is sweet. he's not coming back with anything and if he does no one is going to take him seriously because of his ghostwriters lol
