I kind of relate to this story. I've had a friend like Maggie in the past, and it hasn't been a good ride with her. When we first met, she was a newbie and I was an empathetic Introvert. She was getting picked on by some girls about her eyes and she could only sit in despair. I thought I should be a better person than being a silent witness so I went up to them and politely told them to stop picking on her. They were a little obedient with me and left us alone. I talked with her and we became good friends. She was a crazy social butterfly who just wanted more friends, she looked for Quantity over Quality and I was the literal opposite. She wanted every Wednesday, the day I became friends with her, to be the ''Friendship day". I was kind of uncomfortable with that but agreed to it for the sake of our friendship. She would force me into hanging out, knowing that I was a person who wasn't too okay with going out ALL the time. She would make me drain my energy by going here and there. It was not okay. This went on for Two years. One day, One of my uncles was getting married and we were invited. So I told her I will not be available for three days, because of the wedding destination and the other rituals. She was upset and hugged me saying, "I'll miss you, Bestie". I said the same. After coming back, I saw that she was continuously avoiding me and being close with these two popular girls. They were bad news and I knew that, so I tried to tell her that but she wouldn't dare listen. I initially blamed myself, but after talking with myself I realized none was my fault. She would just ignore me and scowl at me. I was worried for HER. After Quarantine, she became a whole new person. She begged me to not leave her and told me that those two girls had been manipulating and threating her all along. I felt bad for her, but my brain told me cut off ties with her and made me remind of the times she had made fun of me, but I shrugged it off thinking that every human deserves a second chance. She was still making fun of me about my weight though, I was a little chubbier that the other girls and she knew I was insecure of that but she didn't give a damn. She still forced and used me for her school work or exam preparation. I still was unsure about my friendship with her. She would also ghost me and hang out with other popular girls. I was a loner all the time. She would only come to me when she had a problem and because she thought of me as a therapist. I always tried to be there for her even though she was barely there for me. Once, I had got a really bad grade and I was upset that day but she jumped in and started to sob and tell me about her own problems. Even though I told her I was not okay mentally she tried to manipulate me. I was in distress. I told my mother about her strange behavior and she advised me to leave her and cut off ties with her and that I was being used badly. But I was so blinded that I heard no word and still went up with her horrible habits. I later on realized that I was fooled and used all along so I broke ties with her with a silent treatment. She didn't even care, but I was happy because now I am mentally way much better with actual understanding friends. I also am able to focus on my school work now in a better way with amazing grades. I am sorry for this being so long but thank you for taking out time and hearing out my story. Hope you have a nice day!

Fearingly, I've had a friend like Maggie. She was tremendously clingy towards me and would get upset whenever I wanted to be alone even after telling her I was an introvert. Friends like Maggie are all too common. My ex-BFF was like that too. I was a new girl and she helped me out amd we hit it off after that. She had always been wierd but when we were finishing middle school, she started to really trouble me. Always saying people weren't good enough for me. She also told me i was a nerd, i wasnt cute at all, she also shamed my religion once in a while (Im Jehovah's Witness). My mom advised me to cut her off and for a while i did. But she begged me saying she would change. And she did, well only for a while. When we got to high-school, she became the servant for some five popular girls. She would laugh at me with them and what-not. We had a falling off. Then we both found out we were skipping a grade to graduate early. (Ghana things), so we'd have to put in some serious effort in our studies. She couldnt prance around and do their bidding any more so they ditched her. She got so alone, she transferred. So to you all out there choose your friends wisely. I would do things better if i could go back in time. Now, I have better friends, of different backgrounds, ages and cultures, and we all have one thing in common - We love Jehovah, the God of true comfort

I've had a friend like Maggie, and it was really terrifying around her, so I decided to avoid her, but she kept running towards me when I would avoid her, and she almost ruined the relationship between me and my bf, plus, we almost got into a car accident, so I had to put a restraining order on her too, and I never saw her. She came back to town this year, after around 10 years, then I put her into therapy, thankfully she recovered. Right now, she is here sitting beside me, we are doing our homework together, we just had a little MSA movie time :D My bf is also here :)))))

I had a similar experience and my other friends would tell me that I looked sad constantly when I was with her. The title caught my attention because people literally feared me and ran away from me in my early years of high school. Speaking of this story, I was so appalled at Maggie that I couldn't say anything but "I HATE MAGGIE!" and I'm glad there was a goth/alternative character, Alice. In my personal experience, I have been a bit like Maggie towards people I loved and I would unintentionally scare them away. I was not independent and always felt like I needed company. Still do. But I'm trying to brush off any obsession now. Like Jules, I also love art! I am graduating from high school at the end of this month and I really want to go to an art school and learn more about painting, sculpting and such. This is a wonderful story

Same here! Although I’m still in high school, I have quite the same image in school. A lot of students fear me, and they say it’s because of my intimidating appearance and also due to my family background, they don’t try to get on my bad side and would respect me. I’m a quiet person in school which made me look more unapproachable sometimes. And when they found out I like blood and would cut myself so I can use my blood and others’ to put to my drawings, they thought I was a psychopath and is mentally ill. But I stopped myself from doing that so no one thinks I’m crazy anymore. I’m also quite the obsessive person, but I don’t scare off the boys that my friend likes, I would only make them look bad so she stops dating. I honestly think that i am/was dealing w a friend like Maggie. So basically when i first met this girl,it was ok,but then she started getting progressively worse,for example, every single time we were in a group setting she would bring up an insecurity of mines or honestly just speak about me in a negative way in general,but then she would love bomb me. She would also tell me abt her problems & stuff like that & I don’t really know how to deal w other peoples emotions,(much less my own) & she would always say how she was going to do bad things to herself,thus making me scared so now i have to try to convince her to not do these things. All in all due to us being on summer break,I can’t see her which is good bc i feel like i need a break from her. She’s moving next year so hopefully i start to see her less or not at all because i don’t know how to tell her that i don’t wanna be friends w her anymore due to her toxic behavior.

Maggie reminds me of a friend I once had and had all her qualities (if that wasn't weird enough) and was oddly pushy about things, very clingy, and when I told her many times that I needed space she didn't care, invading mine's in the process, and always said: "No means yes." So many people here sharing their experience they had with a friend who was similar to maggie. Lemme share mine too So i was new in this school and in my class there was one more girl who was new. I saw how people had their own friendgroups and clearly not open for any other friend, i decided to be friends with her. She was sweet girl, kind caring and introverted. People misunderstood her but she was fun to be around. That was until i started having more friends. U see i was a social butterfly from the start of my life and it isn't hard for me to make friends. I just didn't want to interrupt other's friendgroups when that seemed full. But that didn't mean i couldn't talk to them. So i did and got a couple more friends. Adjusted myself to hang out with both, my first friend and new friends. But she kind of started becoming overprotective and telling me not to hang out with them since they are trouble. Ok i get that my new friends weren't exactly bright students but they were really good friends!(they are my friends rn too) and not everyone who doesn't score the best has bad attitude so i never judged my friends and they were really fun. And by fun i mean absolutely fun like literally. But on the other hand my first friend started becoming controlling. I got that she was afraid she would loose her only friend and she didn't like talking with people or interacting with hem so for the sake of our friendship, i tried my best to be her friend ignoring her toxicness. But she really really became so controlling that i almost lost my other friends. So i cut of my ties with her. I avoided and ignored her and always be with my new friend ls and she was too introverted to come near so after some time she stopped coming near me. I was glad But now she is all alon, she eats alone in the school while break, she sits alone and i felt really bad. After all i was the only friend she had, but she had become to much for me to handle. Rn i am friends with the whole grade and got myself a really good friendgroup and i enjoy myself as i am. But with her it wasn't the same, and we had no interests common So i am kidna glad we aren't friends anymore but somedays when i feel really bad for being lonely Yeah i do talk to her Atleast i tried talking to her in hopes she would understand y i cut off our ties and in hopes that she might change But she ignored me to the point i stopped trying and let her be lonely

It’s been a long while since MSA had a video about two girls being in love. And credit to this video, for tackling a serious topic about serial stalking like Alice. And so glad this video did not go the route as in forgive the friend and everything‘s all hunky-dory, like other MSA videos. this kind of obsessive stalking is no joke. And glad Jules realize what kind of person her friend was rather than putting up with her behavior like that because it’s her.

I really like MSA and I like these type of stories Especially this but I wish msa can like make their stories longer like show them when they like older and when they have kids

I also would've like to see Alice there when Maggie tried to kidnapped and (possibly kill) both her and Jules. She happens to be at the same road that Jules and Maggie were and she help Jules to safety. With Jules apologizing for not listening to her about staying away from Maggie.
