If I was Tanjiro, I woulda done a mixed outfit between Rengoku & Giyuu, so I can express my favoritism for both of them, and show each of them the respect they deserve for what they've done for me & my sister. After all, Giyuu put his life on the line for Tanjiro & Nezuko, and Rengoku ends up dying while fighting against Akaza, while, technically, protecting both the Kamado siblings + Zenitsu/Inosuke. Both of them are on equal level in terms of deserved respect, seen as how they both have done a lot for the Kamado siblings. I didnt say anything about Nezuko bc its canon that Kanroji is her favorite. (And Mitsuri deserves it as well.)

To be fair, just because Tomioka saved the Kamado siblings' lives does not mean that he HAS to be their favorite. They are free to have their own preferences. Dressing up as Rengoku and Mitsuri most certainly does not imply that Tanjiro and Nezuko are not grateful to Giyuu for having saved their lives. It just means that they had a greater impact on their lives than Giyuu did. The flame hashira greatly influenced Tanjiro through his contagious smile, warm, honest, and selfless nature, unwavering determination to eradicate all demons, and unique ideals to set one's heart ablaze which he stood for firmly. His death left Tanjiro devastated and all the more motivated to train harder and defeat Muzan and his uppermoons in order to avenge the flame hashira and all the others who died at their hands. Nezuko taking a liking to Mitsuri is very self-explanatory if you have seen season 3 of demon slayer or read the manga.

No everyone as you can see it was rengoku *death* that made such a impact on tanjiro but in this he is alive and not only that the video only says about tanjiro so it was never about nezuko favorite it was that tanjiro was the first person that he came to truly care about but instead tanjiro in this ignored him and it hurts giyuu who not only put his own life but also his master life on the line for the siblings because imagine if it was rengoku or his family that trained tanjiro and kept nezuko when she was asleep they would have killed both of the siblings in the trial rengoku said that he wanted to kill the siblings which was different from what giyuu had done so yeah , I don't mean to offend anyone I know you guys are just stating your own opinion so no hard feeling

I feel like Shinobu would start to panic a little bit seeing Giyuu edge closer and closer to full-blown rage because she wouldn't know how to stop it. That being said, Tanjiro should have been a little more respectful, seeing that Giyuu has stood beside him the entire anime, and Giyuu has every right to be mad rn.

Despite this, I feel a happy twist coming, we're talking about Tanjiro here, Nezuko can be spared because of her behaviour as a demon, but Tanjiro will never forget nor will be ungrateful of someone that has done so much for him, he is that kind and considerate. I get it, giyuu put his life on the line for tanjiro and nezuko, but that doesn't mean their favourite isn't giyuu, there's a thing called appreciating. Giyuu was not the fav but still they appreciated him. And his favourite would be kyojuro because he wanted to protect not only the kamado siblings but his friends and the passengers in the train. Kyojuro kept his promise to keep everyone safe in the train. the ppl who were saying that tanjiro did not even cry when his family died, bro. he was fuckin angry. angry, sad, shocked and worry he felt all of that in the same time.. he did not have that much time to cry because he had to take one of his warm family members so he can heal them. And believe me when tanjiro found the killer of his family he was more angrier at that moment more than his anger at akaza. he cares about his family so much, he never wanted to leave the dream of his family.

Canonically, I think Tanjiro either would've chosen nobody or Giyuu. Tanjiro doesn't get to know Rengoku until the mugen train, which he then dies, causing Tanjiro to care for him even more.

I love the vid, but just because Giyuu saved them, doesn’t mean he has to be their favourite. Tanjiro and Nezuko are grateful to Giyuu, but it does make sense for Tanjiro to dress as Rengoku. Also Rengoku dressing as himself is making me giggle 💀
