something about this song emulates the sickness of love with the compressed audio and overdriven guitars; the song sounds really melancholy to me, due in part to it feeling like it captures both the sweetness, compassion, and life of love but the pain and sadness that can come from it too, I guess we all want a person who will wait

Everything today is overproduced. Brand new bands have glossy asf demos and first albums. The charm NOW about recordings like this is, is that it captures a time. 90s were cool but not that cool. We were all still depressed and judged, nervous, lonely, scared. All the same we just had a ton of bands with crap recordings. No cell phones, no selfies. Find a phone booth; call collect, blurt “mom pick me up now”. It was a time.

It seems like the algorithm has changed does it not? Related videos seem to be more relevant to what I'm actually watching and new than before instead of seeing the same old music and unrelated videos. I've discovered so much good music lately.
