Blues is the heart and soul of jazz. These cats are world class.
That trumpet solo was great
A young Joe Williams... This whole group is TOP NOTCH!!! Oooh Yeah!
Very impressed with Emmet's comping, very sensitive to what's going on. Just great
How is it possible that every single player stole the show?

It was for the taking
7:47 What a gorgeous bass solo in the midst of all! Beautifully developed and subtly concluded.
Oh very nice! Brings memory on Basie with Joe Williams
This song (and this rendition in particular) needs to be back on the pop or r&b charts. Joe Williams is smiling, snapping his fingers, and tapping his feet from above. Great job everyone, especially Tyreek.
Count Basie and Joe Turner classic ... great to hear on a sunny Sunday morning to get up and going, thanks.
this is the most underrated channel on youtube

Bill Basie and Joe Williams are smiling down on this crew! Swingin’ from the first bar!
A la Joe Williams! Great voice thanks for keepin' it alive!
who said that youth is wasted on the youth..these young cats are truly amazing..and such joy!!!
Love Emmet's piano and the whole ensemble.
Incredible! The best of Joe Williams and Johnny Hartman in a young guy! This sounds like the best of the late 50’s and early 60’s. That is about the highest praise I could give a combo with jazz/blues singers!❤️
Some good (GREAT) old fashioned swingin’, shoutin’ blues! Mr McDole’s got the sound, Emmett making me remember Gene Harris, Mr Hervey keepin’ the “Hey MFer” lick alive (3:16) ;^), bass solo to end all bass solos and Mr Lumpkin kickin’ everything into high gear!
Such a joy getting to hear Tyreek sing!
Absolutely spectacular! Thank you Tyreek and musicians. 👏
Thanks!
Tyreek and Hervey, tearing it up!
Exactly what I needed! Thank you all!!! Tyreek for sure has heard Joe Williams´. And has the timbre naturally. Want to to hear him in15-20 years.

Tyreek McDole = Joe Williams II, LOVE IT!!!
I thought this was a John Mayer Trio song, but thanks to this I discovered it is a very popular blues tune. Amazing!
Lotta energy Emmet, hope you working through whatever you were working through brother. So much love🫶🏻
When it is cold and grey in london this is the groove I want to listen to. Fabulous!

Fantastic!
This is a fabulous and exquisite performance!
WOOOOOOOOOO
So good!
So nice, one of the best version of this tune I've found in KZread. Thank you guys!
great playing everyone, congrats!
Gotta admit when I saw the title, my mind immediately went to B.B. King's up-tempo version performed at the Regal in '65. This performance is equally as pleasing to the ear.

B.B. King did 2 earlier versions in the 1950s firstly with Maxwell Davis and then with the Count's men. I have the second version on a 45. The song is said to have originated through Memphis Slim who recorded it in the 1940s as 'Nobody Loves Me" and he received composer credits and royalties for 'Every Day', but the original was by a Pinetop Sparks in 1935. I am sure if you went further into it, the song may have some traditional origins. Lowell Fulson also did the song and had a hit with it. Since the famous Joe Williams and Basie recording of the song in 1955 most versions have followed the style and pattern of his version. It truly became a blues standard with many different recordings and the fine version here is one of a long line.
.* Hno, tú haces vivir el jazz y todo lo bueno te acompaña...gracias.
swinging!
Tyreek is literally new young Al Jarreau

Emmet Cohen and his ensemble should have a residency at Birdland
