Just left the theater and this was the best way to end the movie. Seeing Gru’s enemies from the first 3 Despicable Me movies then the antagonists from The Minions movies really made this feel like a full circle moment for the entire franchise. Perfectly fitting song for the villains

I love the despicable me franchise so much. I don't think this will be the last one (hopefully it's not) because they showed all the villains in jail so they might bring some of them back to defeat Gru in DM5. For example, Vector, El Macho, and Balthazar Bratt could escape and team up to stop Gru and get revenge. I'm not gonna lie this is the first despicable me movie that has almost made me shed a tear. The part where Gru is about to die and says "it's okay, Daddy loves you" to Gru Junior was very sad because I thought Gru would die. I know they wouldn't do that but in that moment it looked like he would die. And in the end when Gru and Maxime were singing while all the old villains were dancing was so sad as well. Especially when they said "nothing ever lasts forever" it sounds like they are saying that was the last movie. I doubt it tho. Any ways enough with my yapping. Also, did anyone notice the spiderman 2 reference in the movie? The mega minion that has a long head and arms was stopping a train exactly like toby Maguire spiderman in the second film. That was a sick reference. Anyways, the movie was a 10/10!

I know it’s such a good song to end off the series. It’s a celebration. I won’t be surprised if this is the last Despicable Me movie they gave us everything in this movie. What else can they give us? I’m not saying it’s not possible for a 5TH movie but IMO they should not make it cause every new despicable me movie they make the franchise loses its charm of what makes its special and interesting I fell like all they need to make left for this franchise is minions 3/4 and after that, just let it rest They can start to focus on there other franchises like they can make a sing 3, Lorax 2, secret life of pets 3, the the Grinch 2, they can even make spin offs movies like the mega minions I heard the super Mario bros 2 is in the works U can do so much in that franchise they can make however how much movies/ shows they want and the audience would not mind it has so much to offer illumination will still make a lot

Perfect ending song, nice to see Gru and Maxime apologies to each other and perform a concert at the AVL prison, in which the inmates are enemies Gru has faced over the years (Vector and his dad, Mr. Perkins, El Macho, Balthazar Bratt, an aged Scarlett and Herb Overkill and an elderly Vicious 6, except Wild Knuckles, who has died after all that, he was the best mentor Gru has ever had, and a true friend, may he rest in pesce), and glad that Silas has returned to his job as leader of the AVL once more and fired that jerk Valerie as punishment for firing Gru and Lucy, also glad that Gru's mother and Dru made a appearence in the end, along with Dr. Nefario. I think this is how the Despicable Me franchise should have ended.

@@viaxxl Yes, DM2 was ripe with meme potential, almost entirely because of El Macho. He's probably the best of the villains, with his unbridled levels of testosterone, chest hair, and love for his chicken.

This ending felt like a tribute for the entire franchise, which felt very emotional especially for someone who grew up with these movies ever since the original released. Thank you Illumination for making one of my favorite movie series ever. Best comedy franchise besides Ghostbusters and Back to the Future.

this got me thinking, what if this movie was sorta made as an apology to Megamind for stealing it's spotlight back in 2010, just like when Gru stole Maxime's talent show act. Im not sure if it was Illumination's intentions or a coincidence since they hired Will Ferrel to play Maxime. But even if it wasn't, Steve Carrel and Will Ferrel both singing this song makes it sound like Gru and Megamind has resolved their differences and I think it's poetic

I just realized the more you get older the more relatable this song gets, can’t wait to see this movie tomorrow!

Basically every character in the movie explained: Gru: Main Protagonist, Father of 3 adopted gorls and one baby boy Lucy: Gru’s wife basically just tries to run away from a crazy lady who runs like Earl from CWACOM because her hair got ruined by Lucy. Gru Jr: He’s Gru’s baby son who turns into a roach and back. The Gorls: Gru’s adopted daughters Maxime Le Mal: French cockroach dude trying to get revenge on gru for stealing his 9th grade performance song and for getting captured by the AVL.

After watching Despicable Me 4, I can’t stop listening to this song.

Herb & Scarlet (possibly) didn’t age as much due to being in ice (as per the end of Minions 1) & the Vicious 6 didn’t age *as much* or visibly due to the effects of the Zodiac Stone & being turned into rats at the end of Minions 2- which we don’t know how much time it took to revert back to their human forms

I think this was the perfect way to end gru's story arc, seeing all the villains from the past movies and the song itself was so fitting as an ending. If we get a 5th movie, maybe it will be about gru's son as an adult, that or they will probably make minions 3.

What I liked was seeing Vector, El Macho, and Balthazar Bratt dancing together and seeing Scarlett Overkill and her Husband Herb still together in jail, and seeing the Vicious 6

If I had a nickel for every time the 4th movie in an animated series released in 2024 had a villains reunion scene in it, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Just saw this today and I tell you The ending was amazing with this song. If this is the end of despicable me this would be a amazing send off

Kung fu panda 4 had their main villains and despicable me 4 had its villains return too, I loved the ending to this movie because it felt like a love letter to both the song and the past villains from 1 to minions 2

I think this is the last despicable me/ minions movie we'll get because the line "nothing ever last forever," and all the villains and characters of all the movies show up at the end, and this makes me both sad that an amazing franchise ends, but strongly and greatly proud that I was born in the century to see The creation of Despicable Me and to live long enough to see it rest, on such an amazing film.
