What makes Davemon stand out from other Pyke players is how patient he is. You can see how often he holds his Q by 1 or 2 seconds, or decides when to follow up on any form of cc with E , where as the mindset of most pyke players is that they always need to make a play or get a pick on the enemy team, like that's fine and all, but the highest value pyke gives is the possibility of a multi-execute ultimate, but of course for someone like Midbeast, who is too humble to talk about beating Faker and Dopa, it all comes naturally to him.

@@user-uy1ko9ob5j I have to disagree, Sir. IF he was a reviewer, this would be lame content. Reviewing is what LS/Veigarv2 do. That's a whole new world. Reviewing is analyzing deeply what you are watching. Reacting is watching something cool with your viewership and having fun with them. Middobeasto-san is in this category and he's damn good at it. Giving a good advice from time to time while you're reacting doesn't make you a reviewer. If he wanted to do a serious review of any game i'm sure he would be good at it too ('coz he's a good soloQ player, ofc), but that's not his type of content. I watch him because I'm having a boring day and I want to have some fun while watching some good content. If I want to learn the game i'd watch something else.

Dave’s super good at timing flashes if you watch his stream. He’s always factoring it in and positioning his ult behind the enemy when they have flash up to anticipate it

For the current bot duo meta at worlds, everything is focused on lane priority for dragon. Picks like Varus + Ashe are really good at that since Ashe at can hard punish many other supports that try to contest the wave for a guaranteed push. Although, Ashe is of course immobile so every time they pick Ashe they've usually banned supports like Nautilus and Blitz which have a lot of kill threat on Ashe. So far we haven't seen anyone brave enough to lock in the Pyke as an Ashe counter, but I think it's a valid possibility to be picked. The one thing I think really keeping teams from picking Pyke is that they really like either another front line tank or an enchanter to keep carries alive. Pyke can struggle with defensive peel if he's already used his kit to try to engage first. That limits the ADCs to champs like Ezreal or Xayah who have more self peel options.

yess pyke mid! Ive played this on eu for some time and it feels like such a strong pick, roaming from this champ is unbelievably good. I always rushed swiftness boots and hydra for wave clear tho, seems like I have to reevaluate my choices lol

The thing about is one tricks is we had to get to where we are rank wise the long slow painful way. So when we get to a region with actual good teammates, it’s like scrims for us. Cause we can just play freely and not have to worry about carrying

im a syndra main and pyke support secondary. my issue with pyke mid is that you basically ignore farm, and since that is the case, you might as well play him in support because your actual income will be similar. you get extra levels but after level 6, pyke dosent really care about his stats that much. so in support you basically do the exact same thing you just arent responsible for waves like mids.

you get significantly less gold supp than a poorly farmed pyke mid, xp diff is also massive until 20 mins. theyre VERY different

you're tunnel visioning on one aspect of the lane and heavily underestimating the level advantage you get mid as well as the insane roaming potential. He never "ignores" farm, he soaks up exp and last hits whenever possible, only foregoes a wave for higher priorities like objectives and roams that net his team twice the kill gold. Half those plays wouldn't be possible if pyke was bot lane babysitting an adc

? Not really, he had like a week where he duo queued with alicopter from unranked to who knows what but besides that he literally never smurfs in low. Unless you count master as low

It's funny that they took away the wave clear from Pyke because it's "Too OP", but other AD mid laners can literally do the same thing but better.

Not really, Pyke is the most cancer roaming mid in the game, The only other champions that could roam anywhere as good as him would be old asol and maybe talon but even then pyke gave so much value with his gold generation, nowadays i think they could give pyke some of his old wave clear back due to them removing the gold passive on his ult but then that one rioter would have to go 0/20 against pyke mid again sadge.
