Hollywood romances are often short-lived, and no one knew this better than the actor that we'll be discussing in this facts-packed video. From Bette Davis to Connie Stevens, Canadian-American Actor Glenn Ford dated some of the most influential and prolific female stars of his day. In fact, according to his personal diaries, he had affairs with as many as 146 actresses. Ford was among the most prominent leading men of Hollywood's Golden Age and was one of the biggest box-offices draws of the 1940s into the 1960s, so it's not surprising that he was also one of Tinsel Town's most eligible bachelors.
Ford's career lasted more than five decades. A few of his most significant film roles were in film noir classics like 1946s Gilda and 1953s The Big Heat. He's also noteworthy for appearing in films like the 1955s angsty high school drama Blackboard Jungle and comedies and westerns like 1957s 3:10 to Yuma and 1961s Pocketful of Miracles - the latter of which earned him a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a comedy.
In addition to dating some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, Glenn Ford was married four times. Each of these unions ended in divorce. Ford failed to remain on good terms with his ex-wives as he was a notorious womanizer who frequently had affairs with his co-stars.
A few of Ford's extramarital trysts were with leading ladies like Rita Hayworth, Stella Stevens, Barbara Stanwyck, and Eva Gabor. In the early 40s, he had a brief fling with Joan Crawford and in 1962, he had a one-night stand with the one and only Marilyn Monroe. Join Facts Verse as we take a look back at some of Glenn Ford's most noteworthy Hollywood affairs.

I do
One of my favorite actors. Glenn had a air about him. That was calm and passionate.
I worked at a hotel in the 90's that hosted an event which brought in many celebrities on the Big-Island. Towards the end of the weeklong event most locals heard about it and started crashing the scheduled events looking for autographs and just meet and greets. There was an older man in a track suit shuffling towards Brook Shields with his hand outstretched. I walked towards him to intercept him and walk him out when Brook turned around and said "Glen, Glen Ford, it's so great to see you again". At that point I realized I almost 86'd a Hollywood legend.

You’d have a punchier title if you use correct grammar: Every Woman With Whom Glenn Ford Had An Affair. That’s when the last word in the reader’s mind is the most informative, the most titillating. Not like the weak term “with.”
The ultimate Hollywood tough guy. He could play "square" and still look and sound menacing. Us noir fanatics will never forget him in THE BIG HEAT and GILDA.

My friend Francine York (actress from the 1950s to the 1980s) was close friends with Glenn. There were rumors that they had a sexual relationship, but Francine said the only reason Glenn was at her house so much was because he probably loved her cooking! Francine, who was not shy about relating some of her Hollywood "liaisons," insisted she never had a physical relationship with Glenn. They were just very close friends.

@@FactsVerse It would seem like he was a media darling cuz this stuff wasn't widely publicized in new magazine / papers etc Witness Jerry Lewis , going strong with a 13 yr old girl in the 50's ! Or Elvis Presley's womanizing In today's media that would b surely reported ! Behavior is called "objectifying" women and using them for your own satisfaction ! It's commonly frowned upon these days even if the women enjoyed it as well The men get shamed for " putting a notch on their gun" I guess but Glen managed to evade being chastised for his " extra corricular activities" look at Errol Flynn when he died they say he had a severe form of herpes when they did an autopsy on him and he was promiscuous as they come too!
Ford was a talented stud. He had that magic mix of intelligence, brawn that men respect, and polite kindness. That package is devastating to any woman or to any human really. Ford had fun in his life. Good. He didn't need to have a crappy time. He related a lot of good role model energy as far as I'm concerned. Only in modern times do people see strong male identity as something to criticize. He related more solid fatherly vibes in his brief role in Superman than most actors do in a lifetime. Glenn Ford was the perfect every man counter to the loud and ruthless ideal the Nazis pushed on the world. Glenn Ford proved you could be strong and decent at the same time.

Never found him all that talented or attractive so was surprised that he had many romances.

Who would have thought that Glenn Ford had such an itch that needed 140 women to scratch. His relationship with Rita Hayworth reminded me of how Spencer Tracy's relationship with Katherine Hepburn was rather similar. Tracy and Hepburn were having an affair that lasted for years but Tracy refused to divorce his wife to marry Hepburn because he was raised as a Catholic and divorce was prohibited by the church. Yet he had no problem with committing adultery with his co-star many times over the years. Go figure.

@@FactsVerse his best was Tea House of the August Moon-his films with Rita Hayworth Gilda/Affair in Trinidad, Love is a ball with Hope Lang, many don't know but Ford served 20 years in the Navy reserve, but he was great in military comdys Imitation General, Don't go near the water, Advance to the rear, I also like his tv show a modern western Cades County.
What can I say? I must have been good to be Glenn Ford back in the day~! Handson man, Hollywood actor, rich and famous plus all the tail he could sniff.

In the long run it doesn't make one permanently happy Just look at Elvis constantly searching out new n different mostly participating women to "engage" with ! It amazes me how ppl can't b satisfied having one partner! I supposed he benefited by not being " nagged" at by wifey !
So what else is new with Hollywood actors (and actresses)?
