I liked NSMBU because of how clean it looked. Finally able to see it in HD rather than the blurry mess of the past.

There really is something truly fascinating about the early days of the Wii U before it all went downhill.

I remember going to the mall to get the WiiU on launch day. I went with my wife, who was super into the Wii. She knew it was coming out and it was her idea. I think she even paid for it! One thing I remember deeply was how few people were at the mall or buying anything at all. This was after all, the depth of the Great Recession! We weren’t exactly fighting for a launch console though, and we didn’t do a reservation or anything. Nobody else bought it, but whatever. We played the hell out of it. Honestly I played the WiiU way more than I ever played my switch. We have a lot of switch games, but nobody has touched it in years.

I LOVE Nintendo Land! I've played it since launch and it remains one of my favorite modern games to this day!

nobody is as dedicated to something as Scott is to the Wii u

As someone who beat NSMB on DS, i can confidently say, 2D Mario's are welcome but they have to be 1.) As good as Super Mario World on any platform. 2.) Graphically as pretty and Super Mario World but better than Wonderland. In retrospect, Wonderland will probably be a top 5 game.

It's funny how Darksiders 2 was one of the first games released on the system, and Darksiders 1 was one of the last.

To me NSMBU was awesome and fun coming from the Wii back in 2009 after so many years to play it on switch in 2019 I was excited I didn’t play nsmb2 or know about it same I didn’t even know about Wii U before so this technically was a new game to me

I was HOOKED on sonic and all stars racing transformed for months and months when it first came out on Wii U . I absolutely LOVED IT . But when I found out later than the pc version had a bunch of characters I couldn’t get on the Wii U version . It really bummed me out and kind of turned me off the game

I feel like nsmb was supposed to be taking a "MarioKart" approach. One each console. And the Switch was taking too long to die, so Wonder came to be because the last one was 4 years old, and it was a port! It's been 11 years ever since the last "original" game. Heavy emphasis on the quotation marks.

I have no shame in admitting NSMBU is the 2d Mario of my Childhood. And even if that's the main reason, I still enjoy this title a lot. It might honestly be better than it's Deluxe port due to having the simple but clever boost mode and, by proxy, an entire additional page of Challenge mode missions not in the port.

Nintendo Land had some really good games, but it feels like the Wii Us party game games were cobbled together. Some of the Wario Ware and Party U felt like they had alot more potential.

The Wii U launch lineup is very weird to me because on one hand is one of the best in Nintendo's history, with a lot of very good games mostly from third parties, way more than most other NIntendo launches including the Switch, but on the other hand basically none of the games was a true impressive show for the Gamepad like Wii Sports was (Nintendo Land and ZombiU were good at doing it but not enough) and none of the games was a must play impressive exclusive console seller, so it also was a terrible launch lineup at the same time, maybe their second worse after the 3DS at actually selling you the console beyond just because is Nintendo's newest system.

It was literally one of the worst. The third party games they got were downgrade old ports of games that were already released on everything else and everything else had superior versions. The only "new" games they had were the worst version of Razor's Edge, ZombiU and NSMBU

I do love that the Wii U had rounded disks but I think they did something else to those proprietary disks to fuck them up. I got a scratch in Nintendo land the first month I had it and tried to clean it with windex, smudged the artwork on the front and it never read again lmfao. Then my house burnt down and my Wii U along with it.

Epic Mickey 2 was my first Wii U game in 2012. Wasn't exactly the best first impression lol

Wii U had one of the strongest library of Launch Titles even more than the PS4 and Xbox One. Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed New Super Mario Bros U ZombiU Assassin’s Creed 3 Batman Arkham City Armored Edition Mass Effect 3 Epic Mickey 2 COD Black Ops 2 Just some of the titles that stood out for me the most.

90% of your list there are a year if not older games that were already on EVERYTHING else and had superior versions. The only "real" Launch titles were NSMBU and ZombiU

​@CassiDS Excluding Batman Arkham City, even if all of the other hardcore, third-party titles ran better than the older versions...all of those games are some of the most controversial games in their respective franchises. The only thing missing was a Wii U port of Final Fantasy XIII,Soulcalibur V and Resident Evil 6 and the Wii U would have the all the infinity stones for most controversial sequels of the era.

Geez, some of these launch titles really show how Nintendo can basically sell old ROMs: people are dumb enough to buy the same basic game over and over across several generations or the latest gimmick.

I bought the console at launch and the two games I bought was Batman Arkham City and Assassin's Creed 3. I felt the wait was worth it. Better box art the GotY edtion. Yuck

So LMFAO because of "box art" you LMFAO thought it was a smart idea to buy downgraded lesser ports with less content..LMFAO for full price too LMFAO...

This channel and Scott's Stash feel weird, because the videos lack the "Hey all, Scott here". At this point it's iconic and anything else feels awkward. Please make a generic one so it's a little more comfortable, even if it gets goofy as heck later on.
