I think the Lakers-Heat games were more of Kobe vs Shaq games than Kobe vs the next Kobe games. They were hyped because of Kobe and Shaq's rivalry. The comparison might have been a thing, but kobe went crazy because of wanting revenge on shaq, not trying to disprove comparisons to D-wade.
