Every Third Thursday: Recycle Snowboard

This Thursday we go Eco! The goal was to build this board out of materials being thrown away. It was to cost nothing more than the inserts, edge material and resin. About 15 dollars. We ran into some serious challenges along the way as you'll see, including where to shred it! But... we made the best of it, had some fun and pressed a board that.... Well, you'll see. Works really well for my 4 and 6 year olds. They are both tall for their age. Pretty durable. The bindings require adult assistance but work well. The kids love it. I am not sure I would trust it out on a mountain, but on neighborhood hills for practice it works great.
rossignol did this way back in the day. they had the recycler it lake louise had them as the rental fleet

Wow! I was just thinking while watching the other channel (where this series moved) they should do a recycle board. Well a few videos later and this was on the side as a suggested video!

Guys this is amazing. why not use mass produced recycled plastics in the form of pellets? these can be melted and shaped to whatever, would make a more reliable plastic base, working in recycled materials is the way forward dude.

William is awesome Scrap hardwood flooring is an awesome material to have. Once a year or so I go dumpster diving at a few hardwood flooring shops and pull out some decent wood. I got a lot of bamboo last time and I am still working my way through it.
