David seems to be happy and living his best life. He has had two very successful shows throughout the course of his career, one a drama and one a comedy, which is something that very few actors have ever accomplished. He has written three books, has a degree from Princeton University, has raised two wonderful children, is in great health, and seems genuinely happy with his life. And as it so happens he actually has a talent for poetry and writing, and I’m glad that he gets a chance to share that with the world at this time in his life. I am truly happy for him and I hope that he continues to embark on whatever he decides to take a next in his life, because he has a lot of life left to live and a lot of things left to accomplish, even still.

His singing has much improved I am pleased to say. He's nervous and he's said he's not a singer, but by god he's got balls!

David did say he writes words in poetry and in his songs it would ignite feelings in people who listens to his music. It would make people think about their life decisions .I see the words in his music makes a person think of their own life and accept to change to go forward in life to make it better for who ever is they are with.

I've heard many versions of this song, the live version, the paste studio version and the one that's on the album. This is by far the worst. I know he said several times that he was not a singer and he's just doing it for him, because he likes, but he could still take some vocal lessons or at least warm up his voice before performance cause his voice sounds like he's repressing it (as if he swallowed half of it while singing). But definitely takes balls to do it and I actually really like the album. Also, what's up with the guitar? It's so distorted, it's like an irritating background noise...

Very impressed with his vocals and songwriting. Didn't realize he was such an artist/renaissance man. I wonder if some people are born with the ability to access more facilities of the cognitive mind, or if people can naturally stimulate through various exercises - ambidextrous facilitation of artistic expression through art/music. If he wants to learn to play music, www.PianoWithMichael.com

Why David, why? Will you make a cologne next? Maybe your own brand of water? Are you, by chance, friends with Gweneth Paltro?

hey travin, i'm sure you're a nice person but back off dude. the writing in every third thought is brilliant and i study classical voice and honestly i really like duchovny's sound. besides if he dropped a cologne i'd probably wear it, and i never wear scents.

AilenSanchez Personally, I enjoyed the live shows a lot better than the studio recording’s, and I especially like the acoustic versions that he does when he feels the urge during the performance.

OMG ... I thought this was a joke at first. So embarrassing. Don't know what's worse, the fact that every 3rd word is off key or the fact that the lyrics are so funny without meaning to be. I'll say though ... It did take brass balls to do this. But it's so cringeworthy on so many levels!

Is David lacking self-awareness, to the point of not realizing that he should absolutely stick to acting? I'm here cringing, thinking that it HAS to be a role that we just don't know about! Make it stop!

hi Sarcastically Deranged, i'm sure you're cool and you'll have to excuse what i'm about to say bc i'm in an annoyed mood but shut the f*ck up dude. Why is it that artists have to absolutely perfect their work before putting it out there. Every artist starts somewhere and it's only bc Duchovny is already in the spotlight that some ppl aren't giving him any space to work on his vocals which honestly? I think sound really dynamic, and I'm a classical voice/opera major. If brilliant writers waited until perfection (unattainable) before releasing anything, we wouldn't have any amazing shows (like x-files), because all those pilots had to start somewhere. To say someone is lacking in self-awareness before criticizing their work is always a potentially ironic statement to make bro.
