I love the powerful yet flexible athleticism of Rory's swing, but Couples' swing is so easy, he makes it look so effortless, even at his age.

Anyone confused about why there were so many "bad" shots on a 150-yard hole, it was very windy today and the wind's especially hard to judge on 12. Added to the fact that there's a narrow landing area to start with. A lot of these players probably had to try to hit punch shots under the wind into a tight par 3.

yeah it does look like a lot of half swings. Spieth even said "see I didn't want to hit that shot" and I'm assuming he meant that he wasn't able to just hit a full club so had to hit a tweener or alternate trajectory or something.

@@DeanOMiite half swings are what they play now anyway regardless. Fred Couples is the only one who doesn't stop it mid-way the follow-through.

it didnt look windy the flag only moved sightly a few times maybe 5-10 mph but most of the time it wasnt moving at all. the guys just hit bad shots or had the wrong club.

I played golf for six months and very often I cannot hit the green with my irons. Now it seems half of the Masters players have the same issue noting it is a very small green on the 12th hole. This made me feel a little better about myself.

That was an eye opener as to how bad these guys can hit and still walk away with pars.

Been awesome watching the first 2 rounds! Got a feeling there's gunna be a hole in one tomorrow! Such an amazing hole

The fact that basically half of these guys would rather play it safe to the left than go for the pin tells you everything you need to know.. Golden Bell, where championships aren't won but they are lost

No, the landing zone is very tricky on the right half of the green

That's just the natural dispersion pattern for right handed golfers. If they miss right, it will be short and wet.

Part of it was the 30 MPH winds which played tricks so some of the pros played it smart and hit long. Others who goes too cute will land in Rae's Creek.
