Kawhi’s game winner gives me chills. Like straight out of a movie. Game 7, game clock expires mid shot, whole arena dead silent as the shot is launched, several bounces on the rim, and then the whole place erupts!

“Destroyed a franchise” I mean the thunder have one of the best young cores in the league and a bajillion first round picks. I think they’re fine lmao.
The way every single person was glued to the ball at the final moments while Kawhi made that, as he was surrounded by his teammates, it was like everyone was channelling their energy to get that ball in the net. Watching that in slow motion with the whole shot with the crowd, absolutely fire.

When the announcers show emotion and are actually rooting for a team, it makes the clip 10 times better. Like for the bulls one, you can feel the rollercoaster of emotions that guy goes through.

Exactly, the announcers who are rooting for a team actually pay attention to the close details. What is working and what isnt. Giving you a better deconstruction of what is happening and not just calling monotonously whatever the ball handler does.
I love how Kawhi squats all the way down to see the ball go down. Such a heartstopping moment.

The great thing about that play, regardless of how iconic it is, is the sheer level of adrenaline coursing through him once it goes in. It’s refreshing to see someone who is so quiet exude that much emotion.

After 2 showed up I was like "oh of course this is up this high, but whats one?" Then it hit me and I felt immense pain. Really wish I could appreciate Kawhi's shot, but as a 76ers fan that was nothing but pure PAIN.
I remember watching that Kawhi shot live with my jersey on… one of the most exciting sports moments of my life

I remember watching that game with my dad and as soon as Kawhi’s shot hit the front of the rim I was like here we go OT and started to get up to refill my water. I look back up and see the shot fall and I kid you not, we sat there for 10 minutes in complete silence.
That last Kawhi play still gives me chills, ooof was that a nice game winner! Awesome video

@@supervillain246 The league reviews every game and they point out missed calls and non calls. Kawhi did not have control of the ball until he started taking his gather step. Then he initiated a dribble, not a travel. Players are also allowed a gather step + two steps before shooting or passing. No travel on the play. Go do some more research on the rules in the NBA. Fun fact: there was an incorrect non call that would have resulted in a foul being called on JJ seconds before this clip. Raptors were in bonus which would have sent Kawhi to the line.
As a Blazer fan I felt slighted seeing Dame's franchise demolishing buzzer beater at #2 and then I saw #1. That shot from Kawhi is unbelievable. Like 6 bounces on the rim, game 7 series winner, en route to the North's first ever ring. Yeah, that's a special moment and yall deserve that top spot.

Also it was already reminiscent of Tyreke Evans’ game winner in 2010 where the opposition took the lead before a make from near own 3pt line. Obviously both shots in this Pelicans/OKC clip are further away/more impressive than the Kings/Grizz one, but to think it will never happen again or hasn’t kinda happened before it crazy.
