I still can't believe after a decade we finally have every single smash character in history in figure form. Except the alts of course... (Rip Alph, Male Wii Fit Trainer, Female Robin, the Koopalings, Female Byleth, Kazuya in a suit, shirtless Sephiroth, Shujin joker, Dragon Quest III, IV and VIIIs' heroes, and Zombie and Enderman)

can any fighter’s amiibo be used to make a figure player for smash ultimate? Because i noticed like, mewtwo’s amiibo is for the wii u?

I started amiibo collecting specifically Super Smash Bros., back in 2015

A journey nearly 10 years in the making! Though I have to wonder if it is truly... the end? Awesome video dude. Really cool to see this and think about the absolute nightmare it used to be to get some of these figures. I waited 6 hours for King Dedede's smash amiibo outside of a gamestop that got a restock 😭. Also thinking of the great amiibo restock that gave us characters like Little Mac, Captain Falcon, and Lucario at TRU. Also, RIP Toys R Us in the United States. Seriously though dude thinking about all these memories with these plastic toys takes me back to when they were everything to me! Being a Nintendo fan in this era was super weird, but meeting people like you made it super fun and made it feel like a cool community to be in! Keep it up brother!

Dang, it's been almost 10 years since I've been collecting these things, I still remember the first 2 I got were Peach and Fox

I love how you can progressively see them become more detailed

by wave 5, you can tell they were nailing the detail work

It was a fun journey from 2014-2024 I’m gonna miss it

The Pokémon ones are extremely nostalgic for me.

And pit amiibo is like 98 dollars at Amazon…. 😢

Do the p2 version amiibos trigger anyone else's sanity? Why do Bayonetta, Cloud and Corrin, and Steve have the privilege of getting them but not the koopalings, Hero or olimar & Alph or something like that. Would one consider their smash amiibo set complete without them? I'm curious what other people think because I didn't get them.

I think they started the player 2's when Amiibo were still pretty popular and since Cloud, Bayonetta and Corrin were the last characters on the Wii U, they probably saw it as a way to sell six more figures instead of just 3. Then when Ultimate came out, Amiibo wasn't quite as mainstream so perhaps wasn't worth it? Alex and Steve might have been something to do with Microsoft being involved and wanting another rep for more sales/money.

Who remembers what a pain hunting down those low production or store exclusive smash amiibo were!!!

Amidst my collection, some of the fighters aren't the Smash version. Luigi, Daisy, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Link, Young Link, Toon Link, Yoshi, King Dedede, Chrom, Wario, Mega Man, Isabelle, Inkling. I like lineage variety with my collection: Smash, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Yoshi's Woolly World, Kirby, Fire Emblem, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Mega Man's 30 Anniversary, and even Skylanders. I'd say Bowser, but I'll soon have his Smash version to make my Hammer Slam Bowser feel not so lonely.

I think I'll wait until the next game and collect the amiibos. Until then I'll keep playing.

I started collecting them a few years ago I just hit 50! I still have a lot more to go!
